But once you adjust to this place, they aren't so bad and they seem nice. I don't go to every single thread here or every board so I wouldn't know or unless I don't even know they are being jerks despite reading their posts.
Sometimes I wonder if they are nice people IRL but on here they choose to be something else, jerks, because it's a freedom of speech forum. To me it doesn't mean that, it means you have a right to express your opinions and not be censored out just because a mod didn't agree what you said or doesn't like what you said etc. and you have every right to talk about whatever you want without worrying about your topic being locked or removed just because a mod doesn't like the discussion or where it's going or he or she think the topic is too disgusting. It does not mean you can be mean, put others down, be nasty, etc. but to others they think it includes that. I guess everyone has their own views on what freedom of speech is. My view is different because I was raised that way. I had a strange family compare to lot of kids who knew us.
I used to think there was something wrong with my mother because she was tough and didn't let my brothers and I be like the other kids in our neighborhood; mean, bullies, and she didn't spoil us with stuff we wanted and we weren't allowed to do whatever we wanted. Now I know it was because she was a good mother, and I was the one who was lucky, not the other kids. They may have been allowed to be mean and nasty and got whatever they wanted but they didn't ever go anywhere because their parents didn't take them out. No movies, fairs, outings like going to the mall or even going to Portland, no vacations, they were stuck in the neighborhood while my brothers and I got to travel and explore places and our parents spent time with us. We were spoiled in a good way.
