i though it was illegal to have booze even in the car. ???

Only open booze containers are illegal.

They call them package stores around here too..

except they're all ABC stores.  The government controls all of the liquor sales, by having all of the liquor stores.  There are no independent stores that are allowed to sell liquor here.

Grocery stores are allowed to sell beer and wine though.

in finland stores only sell beer and kiddie wine but not real wine. liquor stores are all the same and can sell any booze.

We have both ABC liquor stores (Jax liquors) and all the independents.    Brody's liquors does have a window where you can pick up and pay for your booze.   Its like picking up drycleaning lol.    Its called a package store because people buy so much booze from them, they often come in boxes.

Well, even artsey-fartsey people drink.  They've gotta get their hooch somewhere.

What pisses me off is the asinine laws controlling what hours you can buy alcohol on Sunday, if they even let you buy on Sunday.  Or better yet, dry counties.  That just means you're gonna waste gas driving to the next county just for a bottle of whiskey.

in finland you can't buy liquor on sunday. you can buy beer and shit, that's it.

here you can buy it on sunday but not before 12 or something. it's fucked up.

and on freaky friday you can't buy it at all! wtf. last time i had no idea. then i was like fuck i can't get booze. when is it btw? i don't want to end up boozeless.
