Why is my ISP so shit?  Why is it taking seconds to load a page?  Virgin Media can suck my ass.  Argh!

what OS and browser are you using, and how fast is your internet connection supposed to be?

Virgin are normally sluggish in the evenings, its because they have been putting traffic shaping on the network. Just be thankful you are not stuck with a uni connection instead.

I'm just frustrated I guess.  It just seems as though, while I can download stuff, I can't get a consistent connection making listening to higher-bitrate radio impossible.

I've noticed Virgin has gone downhill a bit since they took over NTL. Mine is a 4Mbit connection though so its not bad most of the time, and flies outside peak periods.

I'm off to an up to 8Mb connection on ADSL24 on Monday.  :)

Tell me about it.

When I finally ran out of free networks to log onto, I made the mistake of paying for Anaheim City wireless network.

Half the time, it's slower that dial-up!!!  :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

Well, I wouldn't go THAT far,
but I dropped from (essentially)
100 MPS (limit on the ethernet
connection I was using) to less than
2.

I loved INSTANT access.

Add to that the fucking satellite link
here, and the lags become annoying.
