I encountered this post on Wrongplanet about something giving evidence that Adolf Hitler had NPD.

Murray pegged Hitler's personality as "counteractive narcism," a type that is stimulated by real or imagined insult or injury. According to Dr. Murray, the characteristics of this personality type include: holding grudges, low tolerance for criticism, excessive demands for attention, inability to express gratitude, a tendency to belittle, bully, and blame others, revenge, persistence in the face of defeat, self-will, self-trust, inability to take a joke, and compulsive criminality. Dr. Murray concluded that Hitler had these characteristics (and others) to an extreme degree but lacked the offsetting qualities that round out a balanced personality.

I always used to wonder about the whole astrology thing, in relation to Hitler. Like, if I had been born a day earlier, and had a little bit more Aries traits (not that I'm too serious about this), would I have actually been dangerous, instead of just a wanna-be dictator.

Obviously. But, if it meant anything, it could be a factor amongst others. I just don't
see where precise day could mean that much. But, it did get me wondering at times.
Sometimes my mind plays down VERY illogical paths.

I doubt that Hitler had AS, however Heinrich Himmler seemed to show some AS traits.

Pesonaly I doubt Hitler had AS. I'm still fairly convinced that AS and NPD are mutually exclusive in several respects.

Well, I'm pretty sure that I'm AS, and there was only one of the diagnosis criteria on
NPD which doesn't necessarily fit (the lack of empathy - though I try to train myself
to be callous at times).
