:viking:

Knew that'd encourage you, dude. Its happening, you just haven't heard about it.

It's happening from all kinds of layers of society. Elderly people, who have grown their own plants for decades, trading seeds and cross-breeding, to improve their own harvest. And suddenly they find themselves cornered, because some multinationals want to take away their right of growing their own seeds. These were mostly very law abiding people, now finding legislation going absurd.
When on the other hand, the basic things that a government should provide, have been put into the hands of companies who are more interested in profit that offering basic needs. (infrastructure, water, gas, mail etc.)

It looks very much like that in the countryside here. Country people in Sweden hate the state.

Things are going amiss here, with care. There are people making buckets full of money, with care paid for by the state, where lots of people who really need help fall through the cracks.
The way the state tries to fix it is making it harder for the people who need the help. Right now, if you ask for help, you need an indication for 10 hours a week, to get any. That means that people smell money again, helping those people to exagerate their need for help to get an indication over 10 hours a week, where their life would function well with just an hour or two of help.
So, the smart ones get the money, the ones who need it, and who ask for little, fall between the cracks.

Now some churches start filling in the gaps. Organising transport, for people without the means to travel, to get a therapy that helps. Filling in gaps in families that can't make ends meet.

The state is taking economical growth as more important than a healthy and logical society. And, they are losing the control over their people.

In some ways, that is good. There are bad sides, to a society taking control, ignoring the government. It sucks when a family falls victim to people taking the right to judge into their own hand though. Like a family had last week. They shared their surname, with an alleged pedophile. Someone posted their details, with the alleged suspicions on facebook. That did not go well, for the completely innocent family.

Same here. It's incredible that working class people vote for those who destroy everything for everyone except the rich. They have done it twice now, 2006 and 2010. People really are idiots.

Its the same with Obamacare. Its been hailed as the nectar of the gods until now, when its finally been implemented full scale. Now people see that the only think that has changed, is that its become illegal not to support medical insurance companies. The poor aren't any healthier, and now they have to pay a fine for being too poor to be healthy.

The ones before the current government were actually worse, IMHO.

Suing them won't help either. A revolution will help - maybe.

Actually turning the system on its head would be our greatest weapon.

And keeping it from turning back up onto its feet would be your greatest challenge.  :apondering:

The health insurance legislation works not too bad here. That's OK. It is the decisions that are being made now to economise. Like a bureau, that helps out people with a disability, to find the way in the woods of all regulations. Research shows that every euro spent there, saves 4 euro in regular care without this guiding. So, were to cut? Right, there were the saving happens. There will always be people who need help. Economising can't be helped, but, at least do it the sensible way.

Too much economising on health care, only leads too extra costs, because people let things deteriorate till it is bad enough to get serious and very costly help.
