We just finished with the Oscars in the USA.  What your opinion on the major awards (Movie, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress?)  Feel free to bring in your country's award ceremony for the sake of diversity.

I didn't watch a single minute of the awards and have not seen any of the nominated movies...unless Orphan was nominated for something.  :-\

I only checked to see if the NYC affiliate was on as they were in a dispute with the cable company here and had pulled WABC NY off the air

Didn't watch it.

The only nominated movies I saw were Coraline & Up.

I see Up won for best animated feature film though, awesome, I loved that movie.  :thumbup:

The Oscars were boring and slow. Even Steve and Alec couldn't spice them up. The only real moments of drama was when that lady grabbed the mic from the guy who directed Prudence (short film) and the guy from The Cove (best doc) who held up a sign saying Text DOLPHIN to some # I didn't get. The camera cut away real quick but anyone recording it could freezeframe the playback. I have it on tape (wow how XX century) but can't be arsed to do that right now.

Existence actually has two broad meanings despite its apparent meaningless. The constant reconciliation of all its parts, and the conservation of any closed system as a whole.

Morality can be extrapolated from these meanings to make these two commandments of godless morality: 1). Be in harmony with one another and 2). Care for the environment.
