I've got to play devil's advocate here.

She got a teaching degree, then died. A waste of a teaching degree since she never taught anyone with it.  :-\

And your point being....?

She shouldn't have even tried? Just gone straight to the elephant graveyard like a good old fart?

Maybe if more scientists would get off their butts and work on extending life instead of creating death she'd be around to teach.

When Cato the Elder was learning Greek (at age 80!) he was asked why he was taking on such an arduous mental task at such an advanced age.

His reply (slightly paraphrased): "It's the youngest age I have left."

I.F. Stone said much the same thing when he was researching his final book, The Death of Socrates.

In short, I hope I'll still be learning when I'm on my deathbed. Otherwise, what is the fucking point???

Answer me that, Scrap!
