I might have saw an autistic guy last night
« on: March 04, 2008, 03:31:01 AM »
Last night, I take my boyfriend to the movie place to rent a free video and there was this guy on the bus sitting next to an older lady and he was talking nonstop about libraries. He talked about different libraries, one in New York City, ones here in Portland and he kept asking the lady questions about libraries. Also his voice was off because he sounded weird as he talked and his eye contact, it was off. He was not looking at her as he spoke, he eyes wandered away and when he looked towards her, he was looking at the window. I got a feeling he was autistic, he might have had AS or PDD-NOS but it doesn't matter, he might have been on the spectrum. I wanted to ask if he was autistic but I was afraid too. Since I don't really label people, I can't say he was officially, I only wondered it.
After I got off the bus, I said to my boyfriend "I keep wondering if he is autistic" and he said he was wondering the same thing because of the way he was talking. I told him it was his voice and the eye contact and his obsessions about libraries since he kept talking about it which reminds me of something I did about London and 101 Dalmatians.
