How in the fucking world can you kill a cactus? There basically indestructable

Overwatering, insufficient sunlight, or temperatures that are too cold are probably the commonest ways to kill a cactus.

All of these.
Sunlight was in desperate shortage, being 1. Norway and 2. a basement apartment.
Temperatures, an obvious problem as well.
Overwatering, I suspect this happened those times I realized I got a cactus, and watered it to "make up" for all the neglect :I

True.  We have prickly pear cactus that survive outdoors here in some areas, but some cacti can't tolerate cold temperatures at all.

I medicated my succulents today.

So, hoping that I will not have to write such a sad post as ZEGH had to.

RIP, little cactus.

ZEGH, maybe you could try a Spatifilum or a Tolmiea menziesii. They will let their leaves hang in devastation, when you forget to water them. Bbut, if you make up for that, with an abundance of water, they'll be completely all right couple of hours later. (That is, if you don't let them neglected long enough to turn into hay)

My employees bought me a bromeliad last week.  I'm hoping I don't kill it, but can't make any promises.   :prude:
