Therefore... how can he be in prison over there if what he did was not a crime in the U.S? 
He posted (from Colorado) Thai translations of a biography of the king which was banned in Thailand, but I guess his translations were viewable in Thailand.
He was arrested when he went to Thailand for a visit.
