I self mutilate in minor ways very often. Tear the dead skin off my lip, pop zits, pop the welts that used to be zits, pick at scabs, pop anything that could remotely be consider a zit including blisters and blood blisters. I also make war on my cuticles. And I have nothing but in grown toenails and i occasionally need to go mine out a toenail. I also chew my lip occasionally. And work out until it causes me to ache for days - really fun.
All of this i actually rather enjoy because anytime i inflict damage to my body it releases natural painkillers(i kind of knew this but a teacher pointed out to me that is why some people become addicted to picking their zits). Also i never get scolded or negatively reinforced ever for whatever self mutilation i do.
But i think that something i should stay away from is any self mutilation while under the effect of unnatural painkillers. I took some cold medicine because I had a fever, and an hour later I had popped and picked 10 times as many things as i do normally, and i had the shadow of a thought, "Hmmm, uh oh... this is not normal... i'm probably gonna feel this in the morning." And i was right.
No point to this, i just find my suffering amusing, and maybe you do too.
