When I was a kid, I though that in principle all Americans had guns and that you could shoot burglars or whatever without even going to trial for it, because that's the way it usually was in the movies.
that is the way it used to be until america became a police state.
I know. America is now almost as bad as Europe, in some respects even worse.
In Europe "ordinary people" could never shoot burglars, because the state's monopoly on violence was more important than the citizens' private security.
