"American novelist JD Salinger, author of classic 20th Century book The Catcher in the Rye, has died aged 91.

The reclusive writer died of natural causes at his home in the state of New Hampshire, his son said. "

T didn't even know he was still alive when I heard that..    He supposedly has a vault filled with finished unpublished manuscripts

what an awesome writer. let's hope that--if his lit executor was ordered to destroy unpub'd MSs--s/he chooses not to.
