Or you can follow this link and sign up for the national do not call registry:
https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx
It will save you a lot of hassles, even though charities and political callers are exempt.
-
people shouldn't have to sign up.

i wonder if itd be legal to sell recordings of my reverse crank calls...callaway do you know?
I don't know whether or not it would be legal.
I'm not even sure whether it is legal for you to record the calls without informing the other person that you are doing so. In your state you can tape a conversation that you are a party to, but I think that the call would have to originate in a one party state or else the telemarketer would have to give their consent as well for taping it to be legal. Even if you could legally tape it, you may be prohibited from disclosing it to a third party unless there is a lawsuit involved.

You're wrong about not being able to hang up.
I hung up on plenty of calls, when I was telemarketing.
-
if someone calls you and you don't hang up they can't hang up. we did this to prank callers when i was a kid. they would call and we would leave the phone on the table and go do something else. and they had to pay the bill. :headbang2:

Not here. You can certainly hang up,
if you call. And, telemarketers tend
to use a different type of phone
system, which would bypass any such
restrictions on a single line one.
