You guys want gullible, you should check out people who devote themselves to Sai Baba (http://skepdic.com/saibaba.html). He's this Indian Guru who is an "avatar of God" and can totally perform miracles and raise the dead and all sorts of cool stuff. No, really! He even says so himself! And if an avatar of God says he's an avatar of God, then it MUST be true, right?!

True enough for several million people worldwide to believe in this charlatan and attest to his "miracles", apparently. Never mind the fact that all these reports are from people who are members of his cult and hence totally biased in every way. Never mind the fact that Sai Baba has never once on video (or otherwise) shown any evidence of any "supernatural powers" of any kind or other. In fact, the only "miracles" he's known to have shown on video are sleight-of-hand magic tricks of the kind that would put a five year old to shame. Like this one, for instance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggexD03pIT0&eurl=http://godsnotwheregodsnot.blogspot.com/2007/08/sathya-sai-baba-magical-guru.html

I love how you can totally see him palm the necklace the whole time, and then it suddenly just falls out! Yes, Saibaba, very convincing of your supposed divinity. I'd better become a believer right away!

This one totally has me convinced, as well!

I mean, it's not at all like he pushes the damn thing in there with his hand or something, before spitting it out again! Noooosirree! This next one is like totally proof of his divine nature, too!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb6wJ2PQo5s&feature=related

It's not at all like he had a compressed ash tablet under the pile of letters, moved it out with his left hand and ground it into ash when he moved his hand around. I mean, duh, of course not! Why look for the obvious explanation?? Occam's Razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_Razor) be damned!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn5e08pvsi8&feature=related

This one totally had me fooled, too. I totally never guessed he just hid the damn thing under the trophy there, and just "magically" conjured it out of thin air when he gave it back. I tell you, this man is TOTALLY an "avatar" of God!

According to his followers, a dirty picture is also a miracle!

For that matter, so is totally completely normal paredoila, as well. Can you see Mr. Baba in this video? I know I can't.

Sai Baba's followers seem to spend rather a lot of their time on Youtube, harrassing anyone who can think rationally and claims their master is an enormous hoax. You know, as per the spirit of universal understanding that he is preaching and all that? It's hard for me to see how anyone can be this stupid and gullible in today's society, but apparently it's possible. Why do some people have such a difficult time thinking critically? What is it with believing in things that are so very obviously untrue? Here's a video of magician Chris Angel walking on the surface of a swimming pool.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc9uAsdqMmc&eurl=http://godsnotwheregodsnot.blogspot.com/2007/08/sathya-sai-baba-magical-guru.

Does this mean he's an avatar? Guess so, according to the "logic" of Sai Baba's followers. Man, I totally gotta start worshipping Chris Angel!

I bet even ol' Mr. Gullible would find comfort in people like these and their colossal stupidity. They make him seem normal.
