but i am sorry, i cannot discuss it right now.
it will take anywhere between 3-6 years to become necessary. i am now laying the ground work for the plan.

Will you sell me the rights to sell other people the rights to know your plan?

yes, i will not.

Where have I heard this before?
Oh that's right, my entrepreneurial/braggart ex. It never got developed.
Why on earth do people say things like this, if they're not going to follow up with more info? Just for the attention?

Good to know.

I've had some pretty good ones.
Seen them get made (not by me,
of course). I KNOW that I don't
have the wherewithal.
-
What did you see get made?
-
Well, for starters, a lot of stuff in gaming,
which I more or less predicted. Computer
gaming. Really, the whole MUD idea
was something I came up with, back
in HS. As was the equivalent of LAN
parties - but the two mixed.
Heh. Also RealDolls. Was considering
building such out of CPR dummies, at
one point. Figured there'd be a market.
I'm sure there are more, if I could remember.
But, never put much effort in. Hell, ideas
are easy.
My current guess is that the time is
ripe for a good language AI embedded
in an RPG. Have been kicking this idea
around for a couple of years (yeah, it's
an OLD idea, but the technology is finally
there), and just saw that some gaming
companies are actually asking around about
it.

how about if i just follow through, on my own. why should i follow it up with more information. why should i give away my idea?
-
Why tell us?
Anyhow, make sure to remind us,
when you make your first 10M off it.
-
McJ - hey, if you can follow through on your own, be my guest - I like to see good ideas get developed.
I'm just always dubious at the idea stage. So many get kicked around, by so many people, and so few actually make it. So I put more value on the process of successful development, and tend to be scornful of people who are uber-protective of stuff before it's anything more than a thought and words.
I actually sometimes wish I could change that. I'm a decent systems analyst, but I suck at inspiring people. You, on the other hand, are a master at it.
-
i have two partners.
what i am looking at is the idea and putting it into practice, but not the startup costs nor the costs of day to day operations. i will sell my idea, bring a few with me and show the money people how to do it.
i think i will ask for 5% of yearly profits and labour.
-
i always have fucking ideas that can make me millions and then some other guy invets what i thought of, for instance the "my lil reminder" >:(
