Shitty as usual some times it sucks to be self employed. Another month or so and I'll really start to panic

Taxes are much better now that we bought our home.  I'm expecting $640 from Federal, and $700 from the state.

Haven't even started. I have to figure out UK taxes for the first time this year too... I'm dreading it.

I hate tax time because most of my income in the past has come from self-employment, so I always end up owing the government.

My wife hasn't started them yet.  She's the accountant of the family.  I pay the bills and shop for necessities.   :multitask:  Plus being domestic engineer!   :green:

I hate taxes. I'm glad I don't live in the US, Cause most of the tax money goes towards war.

but here we have our free national health care program so the money goes towards fixing the broken bodies of kids impersonating Johnny Knoxville from Jackass or
healthy people like me have to pay for smokers with lung Cancer to get treatment.

I pay the bills and I save all the tax statements for my husband so he can do our taxes.

... US, Cause most of the tax money goes towards war.

This is false. Most go towards entitlements.
Especially social security.

Been using TurboTax for years now... takes all the bullshit and guessing out of it.  I'll be getting a decent amount back.  I'd like to take some of it and buy an HDTV.  Haven't decided whether or not to do that.

TurboTax automatically picks the most appropriate variation of form 1040 for your situation.  I was annoyed because it used a 1040-EZ this year when I needed a 1040-A last year.  Nothing wrong with the 1040-EZ.  I just figured my finances would be a bit more interesting by this point in my life.

As for healthcare, my employer decided to change dental insurance providers.  Now the wisdom-teeth surgery that was going to cost $600 out of my pocket will now cost $1700.  Not only do I need to find a new dentist, but also a new employer.  (The current job is boring and full of bullshit, not to mention not well-paying.)

I got my return the other day... and tossed most of it into savings so as not to be tempted to spend it on crap.  That HDTV's just gonna have to wait.
