I think I'm about to start a relationship with someone, but before I met her I had planned a valentine's day date with someone else from one of my classes. If this becomes a relationship within the next couple of weeks, what do I do about what I originally had planned? I can't un-ask her out; what if she turned down other people based on what she already had planned with me? Plus, I had been extremely interested in her, and if this other thing doesn't end up working out, I still want to keep it as an opportunity.
Right now I'm thinking that what I'll do is keep what I originally had planned, but as a friendly thing, and suggest going out with the other girl the day after (which is Friday, works better anyway). Is that a good idea? How big of a deal is this situation actually?

Perhaps the truth, to all parties, will set you free...Or clear up your options if they get offended and leave ???

See if you can manage the big prize.
Go with both.

I think that what you plan to do sounds good, but maybe you need to tell the person you are in a relationship with about the previous engagement with the other one. I don't think that you need to tell her that you were extremely interested in this other person, though.
