Title: Boston
Post by: maldoror on December 26, 2007, 06:15:23 PM
I'm stuck in Boston for a night. Is anyone here from Boston? Wanna go out and cause some ruckus? Or wanna at least reccomend a cool bar, preferably around the area of the main library near the Copler subway station?

I'd suggest the Raddisson Hotel not far from the Boston Common and LegaL Seafoods restaurant and bar.  I just can't remember exactly where Copley Square is.  Damn it I used to know Boston so well.   >:(

There are Bostons in other states, but not Maine:

http://wikitravel.org/en/Boston_%28disambiguation%29

Boston (Georgia) - A town in the state of Georgia.
Boston (Indiana) - A town in the state of Indiana.
Boston (New York) - A town in the state of New York.

Boston (New York) - A town in the state of New York.

Used to confuse the shit out of me,
because I knew people who would just
say they were going to boston, and I
never realized there was one.

Do you think he was really expecting to impose on someone who really doesn't know him for the most part?

I maybe know three people from the internet I would meet in real life right now, let alone one that I would let stay in my house.   I have known those people for years though and I know them much better than anyone on this site.   I wouldn't be into letting them know where I live either, though I am not afraid of anyone really.   They break in and I shoot them.

There are not too many places I can go where I could stay with someone.  I would have to know someone pretty damn well to want to sleep in their house.  Atlanta, Richmond, Boston, Orlando, and Miami are those places.   Those people are relatives lol.

Very true.   I reverted back to my original name quite some time ago due to such confusion.   I didn't even know Maldoror was the OP, I figured it out eventually though.

Just seems like an illogical and unrealistic expectation to assume someone is going to let you stay at their house.   I wouldn't think of it as anything but a joke.   I wouldn't just let anyone stay at my place, I would have to meet them in person beforehand a few times to get an idea if they are going to try to steal my shit lol.   My brother has friends that I won't let come over to the house, due to them being shady as hell.

You aren't able?   That is due to you having no friends in real life?   Visiting doesn't mean entering your room.   A common area like the living room is something you have to control every particle of?

I doubt you would do that Milla.  You wouldn't meet someone who lived in the same town as you probably.   If I went on vacation in Ireland, there is no way in hell you would even make an effort to meet me.   You are who you are, the circumstances are what makes people visiting you a problem.

If you are invited to stay somewhere you can consider the person to not be imposed upon.   They are volunteering, not having someone expecting to stay without giving notice beforehand.

Do you think he was really expecting to impose on someone who really doesn't know him for the most part?

I would only do that to a relative that has done that to my family on short notice before.   Do you like people just coming over to stay at your place without warning?

You can still impose,

And the HRE one

Can't find the bohemian one.

Add to these (briefly) the crowns of
Aragon and Castille, along with Burgundy.
Quite a collection.

This is really entertaining.
The actual act of hitting "it" would be more entertaining to me haha.    Postwhoring like this works too.

I'm stuck in Boston for a night. Is anyone here from Boston? Wanna go out and cause some ruckus? Or wanna at least reccomend a cool bar, preferably around the area of the main library near the Copler subway station?

Shame it's not Portland. I'd invite you over and we'll play some video games or watch a DVD or do internet together. Maybe I'd show you Benny & Joon and my Spokane stuff.

Somebody had to do it.   Yeah it is funny that she assumed it had to do with her specifically.
