For Alcohol Treatment:
Need to build a Wall for My Defence Machanisms. It needs to be made out of something like cardboard, foam or something else. Does anybody have any Ideas.
-
i dunno if cardboard's helpful. ???
-
If I had My Lincoln Logs (as a kid) I was going to make it out of that.
-
Lincoln logs would make a pretty small wall.
Packing Styrofoam would be my choice.
Just go trash picking. You'll find something.
-
No. No. You're all horribly wrong. This is how you do it: Buy 100 dollars worth of Q-Tips, and go around asking everyone you know some some earwax. Save all of it that you get. Once you have it all together, construct a fortress made of earwax in the middle of your living room. That's the best way to do whatever it was that you were trying to do.
-
You can use foam core board from a craft store zig zag three pieces like a folding screen so it would look nice
I assume this is to bring in

You could buy a display board from Hobby Lobby, if you have one where you live.
It is a cardboard rectangle about three feet by four feet, but the two ends are folded to meet in the middle, so folded, it is about three feet by two feet.
You can open out the two folded sides to make a shape like this, seen from the top:

You could put whatever you like on the cardboard "wall".

My Mother is going to bring My old Erector Set in tomorrow. I am going to build it with that.

That will be cool, Kevv.
I think that you will probably have the best wall there.

It will be different I believe.

Render yourself incabable of buying booze.
-
They should make IDs that have a "don't sell booze to this person" mark on them.
-
They do; If I remember correctly they have like a red stripe around them.

Kev should get one then.

I always contended that one should either
have a drinking OR a driving license, but not
both. At least at the same time.
-
What would you expect that to accomplish?
-
no DUI crap.
-
Hope kevv posts a picture of the wall.
-
Does the kind of person who drives slammed care if he's also driving without a license?
-
One of the bands I saw today played
a couple of songs off The Wall. ;)
-
They must have sucked if they have to rely on other people's material to get the audience excited.

Most places won't pay you to play if you don't play a few covers at least while starting out. Bands have to work to build a solid reputation with their own material to get paying gigs.
-
They weren't awful. A fairly new
band, so they did a decent number
of covers. Plus, the crowd at the
market tends to like stuff they recognize.
I kinda enjoy too, so I'm not complaining.
-
I can't remember a single show I've been to where a band played two cover songs off the same album. That's like pandering.

They melded into one another. I think that they really wanted to play
the second, but couldn't without the first. I've gone to see tribute bands
too though, and they certainly do that.

Well not if they are songs that are back to back on the same album that flow right into one another. The Wall does have great songs, but nothing like what I mentioned.
I have seen Fear Factory cover Criminally Insane > Jesus Saves just because the way the end transitions into the beginning of the next song (Slayer's Reign in Blood CD). Most of the time bands don't even cover 2 songs by the same band. Usually its a set of several different songs, each by a different band. Sometimes there are bands that just are tribute bands totally to one band. That is kinda lame imo.

fuck it, just drink. you only live once

Rich, stop spouting stupid crap or i'll take your ears and stuff them in your piehole. :P
-
You think if he can't hear, he'd stop spouting crap?
I think it's coming out the other end.

-
Aye.

I like to take things one step at a time
One foot in front of the other
I like to think things will all work out fine
And follow along behind those
One act play-things can give you a thrill
Guess it depends on the actor
Dreams can come true, but some things never will
As a matter of fact, those things are driving me crazy
Those things are keeping me sane
I like to take things and make a design
Keep a low profile. Oh and
I like to take things and put them to rhyme
Like those things that are confusing
And the things that seem so clear
And the things that seem so far away
And yet they seem so near
There are some things I have lost
And a few things I have found
Weel it's so hard to keep track of things
There's so many around
There's so many around
And there's things we have to look for
And a few we never find
And we all have things in common
You got your thing, I've got mine
And some things they just happen
And some things you can plan
And some of those things you just can't help
But some of them you can
Oh, some of them you can
As a matter of fact, those things
Are driving me crazy
Those things are keeping me sane
Some things turn out all wrong
And some things turn out all right
Some things don't turn out at all
But then again they might
There are things that come too soon
And some things that come too late
It's the best thing to come too early
So you have some time to wait
Oh, have some time to wait
Well it's hard to talk with words
There's some things you just can't say
And it's best to leave some things alone
In case they go away
You can share some things with friends
There's some things we've all been thru'
Well it's things like this and things like that
And how are things with you?
Oh, how do you do?
You can hang things on your wall
You can leave your things around
You can mark some things 2001, and put them in the ground
And maybe later on, they will dig them up some day
And ooh and ahh, and 'how 'bout that?'
Who knows the things they'll say
