Title: i reeped my job.
Post by: McGiver on August 15, 2007, 11:24:01 AM
i needed a day off so i simply called the dispatch hall and called in a replacement for the day.
no fuss, no muss.  i didn't have to explain it....no excuses necessary.

i can do this as much as i would like to, but i rarely do.  i have just been exhausted lately is all.

and 'sides, we are waiting delivery of our brand new dishwasher today....the power tool of the woman.

I feel sick. If I didn't have work in an hour, I would call out myself.

but don't you have to talk to a manager or something, and they grill you?  sometimes requiring you to bring a doctors note?

I don't like dishwashers; our one leaves slippery detergent residue on the dishes and often doesn't clean them properly, so I always clean mine in the sink before I use them.

I love having an automatic dishwasher.

Mine does a pretty good job washing and rinsing the dishes, although not such a good job drying them, and it has not leaked yet.

I can remember my parents getting a new dishwasher when I was 11 and I liked the change because the other one was crap and it stopped working. It was leaking and it stopped cleaning the dishes good and it made the meowing sound as it was on (Had been since day one we moved into the house). I loved that sound but this new one was very quiet you could hardly tell it was on.

Then when we moved to Montana, we lived in a old house that was built in the 1960s and it was built without a dishwasher and someone had put one in afterwards but the ceptic tank wasn't built for one so we always had some sewage back ups in the basement because the floor get all wet and my parents had to use towels to soak it up and they turn off the dishwasher, one day it stopped cleaning the dishes so we stopped using it and one day we took it out and put it outside and then they took it to the dump. No other dishwasher was never put in that house again. But the house doesn't exist anymore anyway because one of our neighbors burned it from using those thin extention cords and one of them melted and the clothes got caught on fire and burned the house and left severe damage so we had the rest of it burn down by firemen.

true.

i used to try and help with the dishes, but i am a man, and therefore have lower standards of what clean actually is.  so my wife would always go back and do the dishes after me anyways.   we decided that it would be more efficient if she just did them the first time.

  It's exactly the opposite around here.  I'm not to do the dishes.  Apparently, I don't load the dishwasher correctly.    The laundry however, is a different story, so it balances out.

There is a fine art to loading a dishwasher correctly you have to keep surface area exposed to the jets in mind at all times.  I usually load it, she usually unloads it.
