Title: LOL @ MrMark's myspace

Married for 12 years, divorced for 2, I have no kids but my (ex)wife's son has a son who calls me "Grand Dad." I live in a 450 sq. ft. converted garage in the woods. The guy did a really nice job. Utilities and satellite are included, so it's like staying in a really nice hotel sans housekeepping.

Who I'd like to meet:
JulieKitty or Kat, (who share the same real first name, btw), or some nice tall 30-something. I've actually met Kat. Now I'd just like to get to know her better. I'm really looking forward to meeting Spirited IRL.

most people don't die at 30, you know.  ::)

i can't see why everyone wants to rip the piss out of this bloke.  so he's fucking up over at WP.  so what?  if you don't like it, bail out.  if you want to stay, stay.  you know what it's like over there - do something about it (which, i know, is well nigh impossible), or get the fuck out of there, and stop whining on about it over here.

Good question, but I believe it is the real Mr. Mark's Myspace.  Maybe he is looking for love, since he has been divorced for two years.

It says that he has been attending Florida State University for almost thirty years, but he does not have a degree yet.

And my mom called me a "professional student".

:LMAO:
How long can it take to take a degree, i thought 3 years was the norm, not 30! As for the myspace, considering that hardly anyone his age is on it by a wide margin, his motives seem questionable ( someone over 25 is probably one to be cautious with). If he wanted to socialise why doesnt he get a friends reunited or something with an audience more his age?

Because he is an aspie and it's hard for aspies to socialize with their own peers. They prefer younger peers or older ones.

I don't know.  Maybe it is but Mr. Mark said he had been attending Florida State University since 1978, which would be nearly thirty years.

ROFL I was born in 1978.

My brother has been going to FSU for the last 2 years.   He graduates Poly Sci this semester.   Hmm he might be able to look Mr. Mark up irl haha.    I would venture he has much better things to do... namely all the hotties at FSU.

I think this "MrMark" is taking the different socialisation ages to an extreme. And not all aspies prefer to socialise with people of different ages.

I like to have someone to play with. Someone to play videogames with. That be fun. Someone to watch Benny & Joon with and I think it be fun to take someone to Spokane with me and show the around and give them the Benny & Joon tour and take them to Fergusons where the movie was filmed. I'd even show them Mozart and the Whale locations too and Vision Quest. I think it be fun to go to a movie with someone too. My last BF was 18 years older than me. My ex was three months younger. So the older the better, more mature. If I socialize, I will get to meet someone and maybe find my match and get married and have kids.

Hmm, whats Benny and Joon. As for the older people they are, the more mature arguement doesnt really make sense to me, i would say there is a very loose correlation between the two. As for socialising, i have nothing against it all, in fact you should, i would just be wary of the ages of people.

I don't go for men who are too old like over 40 because I can't imagine being married to someone who is 20 years older than me.

Benny & Joon is a movie I like. It's my top favorite on the list. The other two are Mozart and the Whale and Vision Quest. Also filmed in Spokane so that's why I like them too.

Joon plays with Benny's two other friends and she loses and has to take home a cousin who is eccentric, obsessed with old movies and Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. He also models after Buster too and he and Joon fall in love.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106387/

And you can watch the whole movie on youtube. Just type in Benny & Joon and you will find it. There are 12 parts to it though. There will also be music videos of the movie made by people who are Johnny Depp fans and B&J fans and there will be some movie clips too. To me it's all the same stuff because it repeats itself over and over; it's all the same pictures they keep showing and the same scenes. I even have a bunch of B&J pictures printed off the internet from when I was 17.

I like B&J because it's a really good movie. I have felt like a Joon before because I felt I was sheltered in school and I was underestimated, so I liked doing things to drive my special ed teacher crazy who was my aid such as the time I pretended I was about to pull the fire alarm because kids were chanting at me to do it. So I put my hand over it to see what my teacher's reaction. It was funny how kids thought I wouldn't get in trouble if I pulled the alarm but I knew it was wrong so I never did it. I knew I'd get in trouble for it too because another special ed student did it and he got suspended from school for a week. If a mentally ill can find true love, so can I. She even gets her own apartment at the end of the movie. I think she did things too such as lighting a kleenex on fire to drive her brother crazy but unfortunately it only showed him how unstable she is and why she needs to be watched while he is away at work. Benny always had housekeepers for her and she drive them away with her outbursts so Benny uses the cousin as her new housekeeper but instead she and him start to fall in love. Sam (the cousin) was the only one Joon liked around her and she didn’t blow up when he cleaned the house except that she kicked him out and then she invited him back in after he leaves an old jack in the box on her doorstep as an apology.

House is really a covert look at an Aspie, with a few slight modifications. You should watch it from the beginning, its a brilliant show.

Can someone explain why someone who is nearly 50 has a myspace. Also how did you lot find it, I have a feeling that this wasnt made by the real Mrmark, but correct me if im wrong...

I'm laughing because I think Mr. Mark's Myspace is funny, especially since he has tried to set himself up as a crackpot dictator on WP.

I wouldn't characterize it that way.
I rather think that he's just prissy
about too many things, at least
when it comes down to how he
sees that site.

There are people here, whom
I would suspect would be just
as bad.

1. It took me 15 yrs to finish up my
first one. I rather suspect he's not
particularly TRYING to get one.

2. He's lonely for love, and taking
whatever chances he can. Doesn't
seem too unreasonable. I actually
considered a myspace account, just
so that I could interact with some
bands that I follow though.

3. I'm sure that he's doing whatever
he can.

Hmm the maximum in the UK is 6 years unless you go open university as far as i am aware. 30 years is just going to far. If MrMark was lonely for love he should seriously get out the house more, aspie or not. Now the real question, calandale. How hard would you bum MrMark if he asked you to?

Well, I tend to go for females, and those without a penis.
And no, though I've tried sailing, I prefer other sports.

I also watch it because it's Spokane. I think Sam is cute and Joon. I don't watch House much. I haven't seen it on in a while either.
House is really a covert look at an Aspie, with a few slight modifications. You should watch it from the beginning, its a brilliant show.

I concur that it's a great show; unfortunately, due to my bitch of a circadian rhythm, I usually can't make myself stay up late enough to watch it.  (And I'm too cheap to invest in the DVDs.)

I just had an odd thought, totally random, but wouldn't it be hilarious if there was some spoof of house where they were treating one of Spinal Tap's drummers?  It's not fresh enough anymore that someplace like SNL would actually do it, but I see huge potential in such a skit (a bit like "who's on first.")

Couldnt you invest in a video recorder instead, to deal with your circadian rhythm issues. As for the spoof, why dont you make it?

The answer to both questions is the same:  I'm too cheap and lazy.
