Title: Guy talk.
Post by: Calandale on May 27, 2007, 02:12:32 PM
it has been my experience that guys, when only around other guys, will talk about sex and women.

All depends upon your type of friends.
I've never had any who talk about these
issues very often. Though some innuendo
would occur. Normally we'd talk about gaming
and history, or just serendipity.

Always noticed that the guys who seemed
to hang around chatting about stuff like that
just had little else to talk about. The only thing
that really would bore the shit out of me, with
the group that I hung out with, was that they'd
talk about football a lot.

This was even the case in HS. Ah, we were a bit
more obsessed with sex, but almost never talked
about it.

but, you have already admitted to being a liar.  so how can we believe that you even know any guys....or anybody?

Nah, I didn't admit it. And I don't know anybody anymore really.
Though, my male colleagues, when together, never speak of
sex now. Mostly it's just play, or school talk, or about books and
movies (blah!). Oh, and my appearance.

Not in the least. I actually thought that all
intelligent people were rather like this, for
a long time. Over the years though, I've
found a couple of gems within the confines
of the 'normal' males.

Why do they talk about your appearance?
because it matters on a superficial level.  and men are not complex creatures.

Why do they talk about your appearance?

I'm something of a chameleon.
Some days, I look like a hobo,
others I'm dressed, and rather
oddly. One of my little pleasures.

Plus, I change my hair length and
beard fairly often.

i think she was wondering why a girl's appearance is so important to men.

'tis true in general. Women do too. Though, I've found that
I get in these kinds of conversations more with females than
with males.

may be true in general. My experience has been that it's about the
same - with the most likely discussion of such matters being between
the sexes. Though, the guys I have been friends with are very different
from the ones you have. I'm always shocked by the kinds of things that
I hear guys talking about, outside the bars.

You know what else looks like raw hamburger?,  Richard's face.  Lol Just kidding.

I will contribute now.  Women have less testosterone, as evidenced by lower muscle mass and reduced desire.  Men have have less testosterone by armotatization, something like that, when testosterone gets turned into estrogen.  That process occurs more in aging men, and something about prostate problems. I wonder if its also the increase emotional sensitivity, because I see its a real drag down for me.  I have times now where I am happy and don't care much to jack off, which did not happen much before, and the emotional sensitivity thing drags it down even further.  I still usually have sex on my mind, but not so intense.  I am not a fag, so not shit!

What with my gorilla muscles? Gorillas are far stronger than humans.  I am going to be far smarter than most soon.

This nonsense of Randy's reminds me of the bullshit from the last IM convo I had with HG, where she accused the majority of the members from IntensitySquared for being unintelligent morons who post rape threads. On that premise, though, she doesn't acknowledge that there were members who were also disgusted of that thread, and that one of them established a voting poll so that the membership can decide whether such threads should exist on the Intensity website.

There's another statement of hers which was illogical: She calls her former friends online "cowards" for not being upfront by taking their time to write out a well thought-out email without having to cause future upsets or misunderstandings. LOL. Excuse me, but if we are friends online, does it really matter what method of online communication I use? Most of our communication have been based on text. And you did state that the use of emails, the use of mobile phone text, or IM'ing have no relevance to you, so what gives? Why change your attitude to how we communicate, all of a sudden? Oh, wait, I'm sorry: Do forgive my audacity for I'm too much of a retard to grasp your superior intellect. And on that note, do all psychology students, who are way overconfident over their level of worth/education/importance, struggle to write their rebuttals online in a clear and concise manner? No offence, but you are in desperate need to retake your A-Levels -- preferably written English.

Ahh, that felt good.  ;D

I wouldn't. Schools are pretty damned lame now.
