I will admit that I have voted for Republican candidates a handful of times. Overwhelmingly voted Libertarian (wanted a third party), an unaffiliated candidate or Democrat. I've been voting 48 years.
-
Actually, I have already voted. I did have to show my identity to prove residency. No big deal. I was voting legally.
Kind of a big deal here, since many State offices are to be decided this time.
-
I can't vote because I don't live in the U.S.
Still, hope TRUMP! wins. Again. It'll piss off all the right people, which is always a good start to the morning.
-
Trump makes even republicans look bad. I'm glad I don't live there.
-
Reminds me of this one from when Obama got elected.

I am most troubled about this Central American caravan approaching our southern borders. My brother lives where all the news coverage is happening.
People piss all over European countries for allowing immigration to exceed their ability to cope, but this a new high for us. Estimates vary wildly as to the actual numbers of people marching toward our border. Anywhere from three thousand to over fourteen thousand people expecting asylum and vetting and processing in quick time.
I do not believe that ANY country on the globe is prepared for this onslaught.
No matter how we handle this it will be wrong! No way in heaven or hell or down to earth to get this done right.
Soldiers? I do not know. We can NOT just allow them into this country un-vetted!

Trump already won.
He is our president. .
His winning over Shillery started a drastic amount of leftist protest crap, even to the point where sitting United States Senators are out in public calling for those of their party to continually harass anyone who oppose them and their leftist views. To say nothing of the leftists breaking windows and tipping over cars during their "peaceful protests."
(I can drop a linky if you need, but this is common knowledge with most of us more centrists who have sat aside too long and just watched all this happen)
President Trump will remain in office until the 2020 election cycle, unless those opposed can impeach him.
This election cycle is about what we call The Midterms, where typically the party opposing the sitting president tries to take over both Houses of Congress in order to make it more difficult for the current administration to get any of its agenda passed through Congress.
Another big thing going on during this election cycle is that many states are electing governors and state level house members as well.

I think Trump will remain in office until 2024 so long as he lives through that term.

I read a transcript of one of the many Ben Shapiro talks when he was asked what if Opera ran against an incumbent President Trump. He said she would not stand a chance, and not because of why you might think. She is brilliant and will be very popular in the primaries, but the final vote will not get it done for the left.
Opera is crystalline and perfectly pure in her public image, but President Trump is MADE OF MUD!! When the mud starts slinging, no one will even see it hit Trump, but that white princess dress that Opera tries to wear will show every mistake she has ever made - and then into her attempts to work in Africa gone sour galore, all the trouble with stolen finances and on and on.
So the mud will stick to the princess but no one will even see it hit Trump.
Our last governor here in Indiana, now our vice president, would make a great successor. He is quite a bit more studied and calm than President Trump could ever be.
I doubt that I will live that long, but getting my oldest to look away from all the "free stuff" the socialists claim to be able to provide will be my last big job.

It's about the only thing I like about him.

Check your investments!
I know some of mine took a nose dive this week, but it was bound to happen. Even with that dip, my mutual funds have grown by almost twenty two per cent since the election. That is damn good for two years. Better would be better, but lets just watch for now. Too soon to panic.
Maybe it does not count that I added the downward tumble some were already in toward the end of that year, but Hey, I have to count that, too.

It is a worthy cause. They get to them very young in the schools and bombard them (indoctrination).
I was very quick teach my daughter the danger to her agency that is the feminist agenda and the Progressive movement in general. She sees through the crap now very well and doesn't tow with any of that. She is a bit more right leaning than I am.

I love Trump!
He's the greatest trollery ever inflicted.
Serious props to Putin for creating him.

My daughter is more right leaning than I am as well, but it is my older son I am worried about. I can see him getting his face smashed in after mouthing off to the wrong set of argumentative antagonists. Very troubling.
This state is mostly "Red" (meaning mapped out as Republican, not commie fag pinko fairy worm queer-assed, take my money away from me and give it all to some scumbag lazy mother fucker who never worked a day in his life, socialist roiling froth rising to the top of a shit pool of wasted DNA who think they deserve to have everything just handed to them bastards) and always has been.
Encountering a certain faction of youthful hardcore conservatives who give those of us right leaning moderate conservatives a bad name is a reality that I fear he may have to suffer before he learns to curb or rein in his volatile speculation and incendiary tongue.
He is smart as a fucking whip and never forgets things he reads, but, in my opinion, he reads a lot of crap. That is fine, I did too at nineteen, but he buys into most of this leftist crap hook, line and sinker.
My job will be to re-direct some of this teen angst into a more productive order of pursuits.

DD, your teen son sounds like a fine young man who can think for himself.
If he does go around mouthing off to the wrong people about his opinions and ideals, that is the sort of behaviour that I would find more concerning and I would strongly urge him to find more sensible ways of sharing his views. Political violence is on the rise, from both ends of politics, and you don't want him to be on the receiving end of any of it.
What he will find is that his opinions and views will change over time. He may think he knows it all, but his views right now are at best half-baked. Don't tell him what to think, but maybe help him to think more broadly and more calmly about the big issues. If you do try and force your world view on him, I can only see it pushing him further in the other direction.

Just looked up the candidates running on Saturday. Made my selections.
Need to research the constitutional amendments and millage propositions.

This same chick made a video about a feminist going on a date. :lol1:

No, I do not force my views upon him. I often question him and when he is receptive we sometimes have interesting conversations where I learn things and not just things about him. Other times, I get the typical leftist response like, "Why are you trying to start a fight?" after asking one "simple" question expecting an explanation of his point of view. I know when to not push.
He will be fine. I just hope he can learn to choose his battles wisely and not get himself punched out.

I can't vote Democrat. I can vote Liberal Democrat, but no-one wants to vote Liberal Democrat. The bird logo is very nice though.
