Would it not be more effective to connect Them to the house ground?

Being serious for a moment.  The urchin is too young to be grounded,  but when he gets older i doubt i will ever ground him.

Aren't you just setting yourself up for long amounts of time in a confined space with a stroppy angst ridden teenager?   :headhurts:

A punishment of cleaning the block paved driveway with a toothbrush sounds much better.  :zoinks:

from my experience groundings were never really all that effective on my end as a child. your probably right.

Groundings don't work too well on social recluses who like to stay in their room and read.

Thanks for the idea  :plus:  My son has been having problems at his apartment with the other tenants using his washer and dryer,  I was going to make him a lock box to go around the plugs but this is much simpler

The first thing that popped into my mind was what if they got pissed off and cut the plug off?  They couldn't use the machine, but neither could your son.

Oh exactly! When told to go to my room and stay there, it was almost like a reward.

Staying in my room wasn't a problem but doing as I'm told was and still is.

I have never listened well.  :zoinks:

Hardly ever came out of my room when I was younger....so sending me there on purpose wouldn't have made much sense I guess.
