Someone started a rumour that he was now living happily with a man called Bruce and they are holding a civil ceremony early next year and that Scrap will be wearing a pink dress and high heels for the occasion.
Actually that someone was me and teh rumour was just started then. ;)

Calling the man Bruce is the perfect finishing touch, I picture Bruce as a burly welder with a moustache.

Scrappy was great. He was here long before I was.

The site is always a better, and more fun place when he's around.

Scrappy, in all honesty, was fun much like the village idiot can be fun to have around for a while. It's all so crazy and off the wall, and you never really know what will happen next. But the thing is, eventually he will embarrass you and himself and the site, because he is the village idiot, after all, and the neurons do not fire the way they are supposed to, in his head. There's paranoia and wild accusations and bizarre statements, mixed with aeroplanes.

The latter were usually his most coherent posts.

I wish I gotten to know the Legend known as Scrappy.

Not much to know. A bit like knowing your inflatable doll.

A lot of hot air is about what you can expect.

He was fun, lovable, sweet, and crazy.

I like a bit of craziness. Too much sanity is boring, and I get enough of it IRL.
For me, the internet would be boring without craziness, and porn.

What is bug-bug?

Scrappy was the blue barfly of I2. He spent a lot of time drunk (or otherwise indisposed ;)), many of his posts played to the lowest common denominator and he perseverated incessantly about the things that interested him. He spammed, he trolled, he got into fights and he made people angry. I think this place is poorer without the Scrapheap I remember.

I missed a bit, though, so I don't know if he changed.

What is bug-bug?

Its a saying in places like India or Pakistan, where if one is full of hot air and speaking utter nonsense.... it would be considered bug-bug. My father uses that expression alot to give his opinion on a few issues.

Did not have the time of day for the idiot

That would certainly explain why you accused several new members of being him, talked about him incessantly in some threads, made a call-out over next to nothing and generally obsessed about him. Tell me Al, did you ever charge him rent for the space he occupied in your mind?

Of course, this same question applies to El Presidente.  ;)

What ever happened to EP?

Second kid on the way, moving house, hectic life, and then dropping of the radar.
Hope he'll be back one day.

Is it popping on its own, or a habit done on purpose?

I do it on purpose it feels good.
Used to pop neck and back a lot when younger. Interesting in remembering the feel of stiffness and of a need to do it. Assume the need was related to doing it because once stopping, the feeling of need to pop went away.
