A supermarket has withdrawn a brand of nuts after the packaging failed to warn customers of possible nut content.
Booths recalled the Whole Hearted Roasted Monkey Nuts as the label did not include a "may contain peanuts" warning.
A spokesperson for the chain stated that the incident has been taken very seriously and that signs have been posted around stores to inform customers of the mislabelling.

The labeling screwup could have serious consequences for people with severe peanut allergies! :nerd!:

I had to look to establish that "monkey nuts" actually mean peanuts... and I'm still not 100% sure.
Peanuts are, technically, not nuts, and are a separate allergy from "true" nuts. If Monkey Nuts were, for example, almonds or walnuts, the warning would be totally reasonable. Same if they were mixed nuts.

Was it not listed in the ingredients?
