For when you are just not comfortable with the idea of shoving a stranger's shit up your ass.

My Dad caught C.Diff from one of our filthy NHS hospitals.  He never recovered fully :thumbdn:

He only went in for a biopsy.  When we went to visit him on the night he had packed his bags and was sat at the end of the bed waiting for us and said he couldn't stay overnight and he wanted to come home.

He eventually said he had seen the dirtiest toilets ever!  Now, my Dad was not a fussy man, he had been in the navy and had 'roughed it' several times.  So, for him to say this, it must have been pretty bad.

Worst part is we persuaded him to stay for the biopsy as we thought it was in his best interest.  How bad is that?  I have never forgiven myself.

Bodi you were no more to blame for him catching this than your were for their toilets being back. I think that persuading him to do something you thought in his best interests shows you care and there are worst characteristics than caring and compassion to be found in a human.
You ought not have been in a position where the place to care for your dad and provide an environment for his health is toxic to him. no your fault. Be a little gentler on yourself.....or else.

just wished i had listened and took more notice of what he said.  It was unprecedented for him to make a fuss like that.

He was a great Dad and i miss him loads.

That was the hospital's fault.  You didn't know what would happen.

It was the hospital's fault. It was not your Dad's and it was not yours. You two were in your own ways the victims. He should not have caught that indection in a hospital and you ought not be carrying guilt to this day.
What did they suffer from having given an old man an infection?

I thought you were joking about the autism part but there it was, right at the end of the article!

I have never heard of stool transplants before. No wonder many patients are against it.

Only if you have autistic poop.  Doesn't play well with others and refuses to make eye contact.  :poop:

The hospital almost made me sterile. When I had a hole in my stomach, I had to be in thehoszpital for 6 days. I was so weak. They bathed me with dirty rags. I saw the rags and the girl insisted it was clean. It looked dingy. After my scars healed I had really bad abdominal pain down lower and I woke up in the morning with bright orange discharge that smelled like hospital ointment. My uterus was inflamed. The gynecologist insisted I had chlamydia or gonorhea and refused to believe I was a virgin. I was screaming when he gave me a pelvic exam it was painful not just from the tightness but from the inflamation. He gave me a big horse pill to clear up the bacterial infection. I kept thinking maybe I was raped while I was asleep on morphine in the hospital. I thought maybe I'd have some kind of bruising and scarring if that happened. Months later a friend said that hospitals are actually quite dirty and they likely cleaned me with a dirty rag. One of my ovaries is scarred from it.

When I was in hospital for a 48-hour EEG, the place was spotless.  I had my own room and bathroom, too.  Maybe it's because us Scots are a bunch of evil commie socialists and banned privatised cleaning services (http://cupe.ca/privwatchoct08/Scotland-bans-priv) in our NHS hospitals, while you capitalist Englanders are stuck with shady contractors that employ illegal immigrants and cut corners (and then have the illegal immigrants sweep things into the corners).

Also, sorry to hear about your uterus and ovaries, Rage.
