Going to the Irish Channel St. Patricks Day Festival tomorrow.  It benefits the PRs old school and is held in front of the school.  It gives her a chance to visit with her friends.

Based on my genealogy I'm ever so slightly more than 50% Irish, about 25% German and a little less than 25% French.  The rest is English and Welsh.

Had a nice time at the Irish Channel Block Party at the PRs former school.  Had Popeyes chicken, potato salad and chocolate caramel whiskey cake, green beer.  Enjoyed talking to some of her friends that I know, watching the kids dance to the music, enjoying the sun and breeze.  Just a good day all in all.

I may have been wrought from bog, gin and misgivings/intuitions/distrust, as lore has it. Not a single drop of Irish blood in my veins, as far as I know.
No catholic heritage either.

So, no reason to wear that green dress I am wearing today at all, bar for that it was the first clean thing I found in my closet.  :green:

I'll bet you look pretty in green, like a cow relaxing in tall grass.  :)

50% Irish (probably more). Most likely Northern Irish as most of my ancestors were protestant.

I started out as Weakling.  Some time soon after I joined I made some post that sounded Queen Victoria-ish.  It grew from there.  We share some characteristics.  We're both under 5 feet tall; both old (I'm 62); both Victorian in attitude (didn't know the Victorians had a sexy attitude too did you?); and I do like to be bossy.

She makes a wonderful, maternal Queen.  :)

I am going second-hand shopping on Thursday with my aunt. I will look for a green shirt so I can wear it on St. Patrick's Day.

Geneology works like this....  Open your front curtains and look out the window.  Are you in Ireland?  If so, then you are probably Irish.

Bought The PR a cheap neck scarf of green hearts (light and dark) on a white background. That should do it.

I found a green shirt. It has a symbol of the Philadelphia Eagles on it but hey, good enough. No one knows what it means here.
