Cheetah, a chimpanzee said to have performed in the "Tarzan" films of the 1930s, has died at the age of 80, according to the Florida sanctuary where he lived.

I loved those movies as a kid. I had no idea the chimp was still alive.

He probably wasn't Cheetah.

Johnny Weissmuller died at age 79 in 1984.

I don't like them either, they look like caricatures of humans and yes, they maul! :zombiefuck:

They have been known to maul at the mall. :o But Cheetah was a credit to his ra species.

My sister was friends with a family that had twelve or fifteen of them I can't remember. They had a circus act where they among other things rode motorcycles. They were loud and smelled.
