Yeah so i have a big weekend lined up. 2 days of moving shit from one place to the next and then I have to clean shit out of my old place and mow shit out of my old place.
The horrible fucking thing is though....internet.
I will have internet at the new property of course, but there is a problem.
IF I am lucky they will get it up and running at the new place tomorrow which is kinda cool in terms of i will likely have no internet for a couple of nights Friday night (tomorrow and Saturday) Sunday night all furniture moved in and computer set up and internet live and cool.
The alternative is that it may take til Wednesday til i get the internet at the new peroperty which means internet here at the old house until I leave it, Sunday (when i move last of furniture out) and then no internet at the new house until Wednesday...seriously not cool.
Fucking all came up on me too quickly to prepare.
I fucking hate change

My sympathies, mate. And good luck with the move. I'd help carry your stuff but I'm busy this weekend. :P

It is like the pool. "It is alright....once you're in"
4 days of finalising the transfer of crap from one place to the next. Maybe another two or three days days without internet
Then a couple weeks feeling like i am in the wrong house and having routines out of whack.
Then even a spazz like me will gradually get their shit together.
-
Good luck with it, Al. You'll be fine eventually but I surely can imagine how this shakes things up for you at present (and coming days).
-
I hate moving. Best of luck, and stock up on bourbon.
-
Good luck with the move.
I'm one of the weird aspies that enjoys moving. I loved the big move from Scotland to Ireland.
-
I just finished moving into a new apartment and I'm glad it's over! The bourbon was tempting, but, held off for now!!!
-
Good luck with the move.

There's always somebody who has to put a damper on a good bitching! :raining: :weird: :rollingpin:

I just have to be different. Even amongst fellow aspies, I seem to be odd

I hate moving. I hope you can make the transition as painlessly as possible.

won't go as bad as you think.

It's actually how we move in Southeastern USA. Except we live in trailer houses and move them with trucks.
-
Good luck.
It looks like a nice place. Wish I could help you settle in. :eyelash:

Good luck with your move.
I hate moving too, so you have my sympathy.
-
If it's any consolation I'm going through the same thing here. :zombiefuck:
Moving sucks. Change sucks even more I think.
Good luck with your move. Here's hoping this is the last move both of us will have to make for a good long time. :fiveshots:

A house is not truly a home without a sweet cow! :hyke:

Once your internet is working and your bourbon is on its new shelf you will feel at home! :nicegear:

Where's the picture?
I don't see one either.
I have moved loads of times. I want to move agai but this time because then it means I will have a place of my own.
Hope it has gone smoothly so far Sir Les.

Just assumed hyke's comment meant she was privy to inside information (pictures).

I think it took me almost a month for my phone and internet to get up and running.
First it was the former tenants who didn't get their phone disconnected, then it was problems with the physical phone line and lots of screwups on Telstra's end at the exchange :thumbdn:
If your transfer is smooth and obstacle free, I envy you.

Jack assumed right.
@ Ren, Sir Les sounded quite content when I called him in his morning. It had gone smoother than hoped for so far.

Was this when you moved from Western to Eastern Aus. ??

No I think I moved from WA 11 years ago. It was a fucking lifetime ago. Lotta wayer under the bridge daughter's first year in primary. Now her last year in high school.

In the past 20 years I've lived in 5 different countries for at least a year. 4 of those were for 2 years or more.
Long-range international moves are probably the easiest. It's impractical and stupidly expensive to bring in more than a suitcase full of stuff anyway, so you tend to just buy what you need and sell it (or give it away) when you move on.

I hope to retire in Thailand when I am a little older.
I dread breaks in routine even if, once I am there, it is better.

Once I moved 8 times in a year, juggled among family members who didn't want me. Eventually I moved again and lived alone.

I watched that gif too much, heh.
Yeah living alone or with people that actually want you around is the best, imo.
