You want to replace "is to" with another phrase that also works and then apply to all other answers and get the correct one by POE. A phylum is a type of classification.
Is a cat a type of feline? - No, they mean the same thing.
Is a commitment a type of vow? No, a vow is a kind of commitment - scratch this one.
Is a lie a type of deceit? Yes
Is a medal a type of honor? No, this one isn't even close.
Answer is C

The first one is hard. I'll skip to the second one.
Flip the words around, so long as you also flip around the answers.
A Key unlocks a Door.
Does a Ring unlock a Gem? No
Does an Aroma unlock a Perfume? No
Does a Clue unlock an Enigma? Yes
Does an Achievement unlock an Effort? No, this one is backwards.
Answer is C.
Have to think on the first one some more. My first few attempts led to zero answers.

I was thinking like. a key goes in a door. and a gem goes in a ring? :insane:
-
Okay - I had to look up Bengaline.
The classification Arachnid is part of what makes up the classification Arthropod.
Is a Particle part of the makup of an Atom? No, backwards.
Is a Spear part of the makeup of an Aperture? No.
Is Rayon part of the makeup of Bengaline? Yes
Is Theosophy part of the makeup of a Monastary? No.
Answer is C again.

But a Ring doesn't go in a Gem. They throw those in as trick answers for if you lose track of the order of the words. Key - Door is to Ring - Gem. Not Gem - Ring.

Asch! I must be retarded or something.

I spent several months learning how to do these and practicing them. They make up 1/3rd of the LSAT questions.
