Well I must say, I'm starting to like this place so I'll tell you all a little bit about myself.
I'm 35 and currently work as a CNC Machinist/Programmer/ TIG Welder/Cylinder head specialist for a Top Fuel Funny Car team.
I live in Analslime.....I mean Anaheim,Ca. I've been here for about 3 years. I grew up in the Central Coast area (Lompoc, Santa Maria, Pismo Beach)
I did 4 years in Uncle Sams Machinegun Club stationed out in 29 Palms.
My hobbies/interests are: Motorsports (go figure) of most kinds, but Drag racing especially. Guns (target shooting and hunting) along with Ammo reloading. Mountian Biking, Hiking, Frisbe Golf and Beer exploration.
I like most Rock/ Heavy Metal from the mid 60's on to today's
Politically I consider myself a classical Jeffersonian Liberal with some working-class socialist ideals thrown in for good measure.

If you haven't already, check out Badger Brewery's ales - Tangle Foot is particularly good. And I have to plug Timothy Taylor's, cos its brewed half a mile from my house - if the wind's right you can smell the Landlord and Golden Best mashing. Aaaah... :glug:

England does make some good beer, but the best beer in the world comes from Belgium. I think Germany and England tie for second. America's microbrews are closing the gap fast though!!! :beergrin:

The best Belgian I've had is Rochefort Trappistes #10 (Abbey quadrupel) but there are dozens of ass-kicking ales from there.
If you like New Castle, you should try Old Speckeld Hen. It's a brown ale too.

Yep, it's the second to last exit before you go into Riverside county. It's the Weir Canyon/ Yorba Linda Blvd exit. If you turn south, you go into Anaheim hills. If you turn north you go into Yorba Linda/ Savi Ranch. Our shop is in Savi Ranch.

Currently, Schwelmer Hefeweizen. Unfortunately, the distributor for SoCal quit carrying it and the nearest place I can currently get it is Monterey County. I emailed the brewery and they replied that they were already in the process of finding a new supplier for SoCal.

That for sure. In the height of My drinking days I drank 12 40oz bottles of Malt Liquor Beer. Now I drink 12oz bottles of beer instead. Thank God I don't drink everyday anymore.

Didn't quit being a snob, just gave up alcohol. I was overmedicating. It's been over four years and I'm better off.

Oh, I did ... for many years, but like any other drug, it eventually loses it's 'good' effects. Side effects can also increase with extended use. When it gets to the point that the only way to break a hangover is to drink, there's a problem.
I do love a good stout or dark ale, but my priorities have changed in recent years.

Try something besides Icehouse!!
Most liquor stores and grocery stores around here have Chimay Ale. Try a bottle and see what you think. (the blue label is the best if they have it)

Sorry to say prohibition did not work in the U.S.. Even God gives Us a little wine in the scriptures so to be be not getting drunk but even Noah got drunk for He was Human too.

I was with Base Telephone on the top of the hill. Didn't do jack shit! We used to go out to the airfield and watch the Harriers take off and land, and go over the hill and hang out with the SeaBees. Those guys are cool.

Was that on 10th street too? There was one building above us, but I forgot who was there. I thought they were with BEARMAT or something.
I don't remeber any SeaBees being there, must've been ther for a field op or something.

The SeaBees had a permanent detachment there, but you hardly ever saw them. They were always out over the hill blowing shit up.
