Title: Mass bird and fish deaths?
Post by: DukeNukem on January 05, 2011, 04:34:25 PM
I'm sure you guys already know about the news of the mass bird and fish deaths in places like Arkansas and Louisiana. I just want to create a thread about this and just say that I feel like people are just taking this as some kind of insignificant joke and this is a sign of things to come. This is the government's way of desensitizing people, so that when it gets reported on the news one day that thousands in some small town in the USA dies of "natural" or "mysterious" causes, NO ONE will give a damn enough to do anything about it...

Hadn't heard about the fish, had heard about the blackbirds. And that they thought the weather might be the cause of that, combined with the birds flying higher due to the New Years Eve fireworks.

Latest word on the Louisiana bird deaths was that they flew into high tension wires with the bad weather.  All of them examined showed trauma before death and electrical wires were nearby.

It makes sense. If they were non-fucking animals, the population would drop.

You stated that you were once of the belief that Louisiana did not have so many animals, but that your position has changed. I agreed with your current position about the animal population of Louisiana. You just challenged me to a duel for agreeing with you.

Is that the truth? because i didnt see it like that. I wonder, will you ever win at your game? probably not

Heres some advice, it really isnt necessary to tell me that if there was no animals the population would drop.

I was just asking anyone if they've ever seen billy the exterminator

Indeed not. In the game of thermodynamics, you can't win; you can't even break even.

And I have not seen Billy the Exterminator. Have you looked for him under the sofa?

I saw on the news that dead fish were also washed up on the shores of New Zealand. It is more difficult to explain the fish than it is to explain the birds.

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Revelation 6:7-8

Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

Hosea 4:1-3

I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.

I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.

Zephaniah 1:2-3

"Look, I am against you!- declares Yahweh Saboath- I shall lift your skirts as high as your face and show your nakedness to the nations, your shame to the kingdoms. I shall pelt you with filth." (Nahum 3:6, The New Jerusalem Bible)

For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

Ecclesiastes 9:12

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Just heard on the radio about doves falling from the sky in Italy.
Looked that one up and read of a couple of others I hadn't heard.

Quote
Italy's dead doves come not long after 2 million dead fish washed ashore along Maryland's Chesapeake Bay -- and just days after up to 5,000 blackbirds fell out of the sky in a one-mile area near Beebe, Ark., and thousands of drum fish turned up dead along a stretch of an Arkansas river.

Other animal die-offs in the past two weeks include reports of 40,000 dead crabs washing ashore near Kent, England, hundreds of snapper fish dead in New Zealand, 150 tons of red tilapia dead in Vietnam, 500 jackdaws crashing to their death in Sweden, more than 450 birds falling onto a Louisiana highway and a mass of dead fish in a Florida creek.
