And another thing, this sounds like a thread General Faggotbeard would start. He's a racist son of a bitch like you seem to be, richard.

Dear stereotyping asshole,
Stop hanging around dumb people who fit into your little world of generalizations, and you'll have more intelligent conversations in the future regardless of race.
Sincerely, American Nigger
p.s. please go fuck yourself

Blacks. :zoinks:
In all fairness though, stereotypes don't come out of nowhere. People say us Irish are drunks because MOST of them are drunks.

I don't know anyone who's offended by being called black. It's a lazy way to talk about skin color, and african american only applies some of the time. I have to go back 5 or 6 generations to find someone in my family from africa, and everyone else pretty much just gets called an american by the third generation.

what if theyre from Kenya?
or Mozambique?
or ANGOLA!!?!?
i talked to some british/indian guy who insisted he "did not see race". what a prick.
i asked him word by word "so when someone is black, you do not notice?"
"i do NOT! all humans are the same!"
what a dickhead. i hate that sort of attitude. its like when homophobes go "gays are okay as long as they dont touch me!"
OF COURSE you notice when someone is black, or asian, or a pale shiny white scandinavian w his shiny white hair and naive blue-eyed face
everybody and anybody notices.
if someone is black, ill refer to them as "someone black", just like ill go "someone freckled" or "someone fat" or "someone turk-looking" or "some swede"
people are so oversensitive and overly pc sometimes.

Well we could get accurate and say caucasian and negro, but I find white and black simpler.
"caucasian" gets confusing, cus theyre also people of the caucasus, like chechnyans and georgians.
like the term "indian"
so, "white" rules. wait. that came out wrong. :D

I do think there are differences between races, although I do not assert that one race is superior to others. Although I'd rather refer races to different species of human. Each has their pros and cons, and there are exceptions.

Beacuse people certain people tend to think of all those other people as if their colour or shape is their most defining quality as a human being. They are trying to hide you racism behind what a person looks like by saying it's factual, as in "well, that's what the guy looks like".
They are judging a book by it's cover.
-
Saying we're all the same is all well in good, but it simply does not work like that in nature. Every single person is physically and mentally different to one another. The people who cannot accept their differences are the kind of people who say shit like "don't judge a book by it's cover".
-

I agree with the first bit but not the second.
-
A lot of people put their personality into their "cover", so you can't help but judge them.
-
I think seeing someone's skin color isn't the same as judging it. They're physical traits that a lot of people share, and acknowledging it isn't a problem as long as people keep in mind that skin color does not make up a person's intelligence, personality, etc.. It's a corny phrase, but why judge a person based on one characteristic(not even in their control) when we're affected by god knows how many outside influences everyday?
-
well shleed baby gets it. the rest of you are niggers

because its fun. live a little nigger, it might do you some good
-

People display their interests in their clothing, accessories, and what they carry around. All that still doesn't give you an accurate guess of who they are until they open your mouths.

until they open your mouths?! intresting. how does that actually work? nigger.

That wasn't my point. Phlextor claimed we shouldn't judge people by their cover. However, I don't see how describing someone as "black" is judging them.

I do believe the differences are far more than just your skin colour. More like biological, mental and physical differences, but the differences are not great enough to stop interacial reproduction. But that said, I don't think one race is more intelligent than the other.
These differences apply to males and females alone aswell, eg. males tend to be more physically stronger than women and retain less fat.

Have to agree with zeg and don't see anything horrible about describing what a person looks like.

Sorry, richard, have been feeling disagreeable lately and just giving you a hard time. Black vernacular isn't all that appealing to me either, but neither are strong northern or southern accents, or some foreign accents, or people talking in general. People should appreciate silence more.

*Insert obligatory balls in mouth reference, and how you have experience in that department.* Maybe I should just make fun of you for misspelling interesting.

Well, the slurs aren't necessary. The conversation took a different direction though.
-
I think I was more going along the lines of like when someone in a news story is described by their skin colour or race when that fact has nothing to do with anything. If the guy was white, they never say "some white guy".
-
People of other races do that too. Used to work with a hispanic woman who described people as both white or black.
-
Maybe I'm being autistic about and just not seeing the point.
-
Not sure there is a point.
