Title: I got a new job

When I'm not in class, I decided to volunteer at the Santa Maria Museum of Flight (http://smmof.org/).

In addition to feeding my aviation addiction, I'll be helping them restore several aircraft.

First will be an L-3 Grasshopper, then an A-4 Skyhawk, then a replica of the Hughes H-1 racer that was used in the movie "The Aviator", then, either an F-86 Saber, or an F-9 Panther.

I'll also help out with the airshows. 8)

Well, the site has a pic of the A-4 Skyhawk that we're going to restore. We're waiting on some parts to show up.

Santa Maria Airport (KSMX) AKA Capt. Allan Hancock Field, was a B-25, then a P-38 training base durring WW II.

Trivia Fact: Allan Hancock owned the property that the La Brea tar pits is on. When they started to discover fossils there, the prime specimens were taken by Allan and donated to Allan Hancock College. The're locked up in the bioology dpet., I've seen a few of them.
