I am watching some program about the DEA the more I watch the more disgusted I become they get off on this stuff. One part showed them trashing a house looking for drugs finding none and arresting the home owners. The ripped up sheet rock and pulled up the floor nothing and they still arrested them who fixes all this mess cloths everywhere from dumping dumping out drawers everything knocked over for what pot. Fuck I lost what little respect I had for them. Not to mention if someone kicked in my door I'd fight back and probably be killed before I realized they were cops. In one the found a hidden compartment to them s sure sigh of evil doing I have hidden compartments built in all over my house from when I built it. Hidden weapons shit I got all kinds all over the yard and house.

I watched a dovumentary like that a few years ago. Was like watching true horror.
Glad it's not that way here.
Though government here likes to mess with privacy rights more and more, using safety reasons as an excuse.
-
That is a real worry for me. I don't have much that's prohibited but lots of questionable things that go along with my hobbies and flea market stuff. Like old knives, grenades and about all the glass ware and chemicals to make meth
-
I can imagine the worry.
Even thinking about the documentary I saw that long ago makes me feel kind of trapped.
So much unjustified power being used at will. And so much meaningless destruction in the comfort and safety of houses.
Hope it will never ever happen to you.

Fuck the DEA :grrr:, make all drugs legal and watch the crime rate and prison population drop drastically :orly:

QFT. :plus:

Legalize prostitution as well.

IMO they have a bit too much power, and they have too many fuck-ups on record for my comfort zone.
Nothing here of interest though I'm pretty boring in my middle age, but anyone storms my door they better be prepared for what's on the other side. I really don't deal well with surprises.

The RCMP here arn't that bad. Their actually quite civil. My dad got busted for growing pot in the back yard and they just talked with my mom. They didn't attack the house like a swat team.
but american cops are another story...I've heard their brutal like what Parts was saying. Ripping up someones home and shit.

A-fuckin-men! :plus:

cops=people who insist on kicking and shoving for a living. plain and simple.
here "DEA" are the nark section of the normal national police, but they love to be assholes. theyre also unarmed, and of course, you can imagine how thrilled they are whenever theyre allowed to bring guns. we had fully armed "swats" w mp5's and shields storming up our stairs once, cus my brother told them he had weed at home, and that there were two junkies living next door.
how they managed to turn that into a swat-worthy threat is beyond me, but it probably made sense to the cops.
they were probably devastated they didnt get to shoot anybody this time either. they never get to shoot anybody! stupid norway :D

Legalize prostitution as well.
no shit. then you can get laid without breaking the law.

That's the reason government ALWAYS uses to take away people's rights. :grrr:

What if I storm your door with a bouquet of flowers and a ring?? :zoinks: :eyebrows:

Both of these would reduce crime, but the purpose of police isn't to reduce crime, it's to enforce social order at the point of a gun, and shove a boot in your face.

And if legalized lots of those cops and court system people would be out of work that's another reason they don't want it. Kinda like if racism disappeared over night how would Jesse Jackson make a living

laws are just a statement, people follow their will to the degree theyre physically able to anyway. weed is illegal, but people aquire it and smoke it. murder is illegal, but people kill unhindered, and are arrested afterwards.
ive gotten arrested 4 times for weed, it tought me only to carry weed in my hand untill i get home :b

How strict are the laws in Norway?

How strict are the laws in Norway?
ridiculously strict, but its "bent" differently. binging culture is very ingrained here, so illegal moonshining is usually tolerated, so are the products, even if carried by minors police will only pour it out and not make a big deal out of it. if your an adult keeping moonshine, its usually ignored.
weed on the other hand, ive had friends of mine convicted on _particles in their shoelaces_
i dunno why, but theyre fanatical about it. they dont usually hunt for smokers, cus even here thats impossible warrant-wise etc, BUT they watch dealers like hawks, and they love to stop people on their way out of such places, if theyre certain enough that thats where you've been.
as suggested by the shoelaces, there is NO minimum "okay" ammount, like in many countries you can get away with "up to 5 grammes" and stuff.
in my experience theyre likely to fine you 1000 krones a gramme they catch you with, roughly.
in fact, youll pay bigger fines for carrying a 5'er around, than you would if you assaulted someone, in front of witnesses (not counting injuries).

The way they make up and enforce laws is crazy I wish they were just consistent

me too. i can smoke weed despite the enforcement, but i would LOVE to see some real physical restriction of the open drunkenness here in the weekends. you wont believe it untill you see it, unless your from an excessive binbing culture as well (russia, south africa, australia, as far as i know)
my dad is so embarassed, watching grown norwegian men vomit their suits and ties out every fucking weekend, getting into fights, like little kids, GOD how i hate them, GOD how i hate that "sleepy" drunk aggro-look they get "hey! HEY! gotta problem!?" if i had a gun, he wouldnt even be able to finish the sentence i swear :(

in spain you can litterally puff a fat one right in a cops face, especially if your a tourist :D
we smoked openly at the outside tables at many cafeterias, and i heard a cop comment my smoking on his walkie, at the beach, when quickly reporting back. something along the lines of "no nothing going on here. some youngsters having a puff."
i thought i was subtle about it too :D
