Title: Recipies for those who like non-human animals fried or cooked.

For starters:

Nicked from the sex forum, a recipe for stuffed camel:

Wonder if camel is good eating

I was thinking the same thing. If it's got meat on it and it's annoying, there's always burgers, camel burgers.

Squirrel:

Quote
Squirrel Stew
Ingredients:
1 squirrel, quartered
1 cup diced onion
2 large tomatoes (from your garden) or 1 can of tomatoes
Assorted fresh ,or canned veggies
Preparation:
Sprinkle seasoned salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (optional) liberally on the meat. Pour some cooking oil into a large pot (dutch oven). Sauté the meat with the onions until well browned. Drain the excess oil, add about 2 cups water, and bring to a boil. Cut up the tomatoes and add. If you use canned tomatoes add them now. Turn down the heat, and let slow cook for at least an hour. Important: older squirrels may require cooking longer than an hour. Check periodically for tenderness. If you don't you will have a hard time chewing the meat.  After the meat is tender, add the veggies, carrots, potatoes, banana pepper, what ever you like. Cook until the veggies are done. An option you can use is, cook up your favorite pasta and serve over the pasta. (eliminate the potatoes). That's it, nice and simple ~ Good eating: John

From http://www.bowhunting.net/susieq/squirrel.html

I'm a bit shocked over the brutal thing between brackets: (eliminate the potatoes)

Gosh, who would ever dream of abusing chocolate on dead non-human animals? Such a waste of chocolate.

It should be a crime to eat camels. They're stinky, filthy animals! :puke:

it's a crime to have sex?

I did not bring the sex to the crime part of the forum.  :duh:

Don't think eating camels is a crime either, but that's not important. I don't fancy eating camels.

I do want sex though.

Want the camels out indeed.

Guess that's what the recipe is for. Get rid of the camel, before having sex.

Stir-Fried Lily with Coconut Milk.

1 lb Lily haunch, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 small green chilies, seeded and sliced
4-6 mushrooms, sliced
1 cup coconut milk
5 tablespoons peanut oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin seed
1 teaspoon cornflour (mixed with water to form a paste)
salt and pepper to taste
fresh mint leaves

Heat oil in wok or frying pan, then add Lily meat, stir-frying until lightly browned. Add coconut milk and soy sauce and stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Add onion, chillies, mushrooms, and seasoning and continue to stir. When the mixture begins to bubble, stir in cornflour paste. Garnish with the best seasonal lilies as a commemoration and acknowledgment of a good dog.

Tasty?  :-\

Heh, one of my earliest posts on WP was to critique someone's dog recipe.

Quote from: postpaleo
Unhappy with this dog? Let me give you an easy out.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3 kg dog meat
1 1/2 cups vinegar
60 peppercorns -- crushed
6 tablespoons salt
12 cloves garlic -- crushed
1/2 cup cooking oil
6 cups onion -- sliced
3 cups tomato sauce
10 cups boiling water
6 cups red pepper -- cut into strips
6 pieces bay leaf
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1 1/2 cups liver spread
1 whole fresh pineapple -- cut 1/2 inch thick

1. First, kill a medium sized dog, then burn off the fur over a hot fire.
2. Carefully remove the skin while still warm and set aside for later (may be
used in other recpies)
3. Cut meat into 1″ cubes. Marinade meat in mixture of vinegar, peppercorn,
salt and garlic for 2 hours.
4. Fry meat in oil using a large wok over an open fire, then add onions and
chopped pineapple and suate until tender.
5. Pour in tomato sauce and boiling water, add green peper, bay leaf and
tobasco.
6. Cover and simmer over warm coals until meat is tender. Blend in liver spread
and cook for additional 5-7 minutes.

I do think you'll have to keep him for a while longer, he doesn't look like he is up to that 3 kilograms yet. Might be able to cut this recipe in half, if you can't wait much longer.

May the force be with you.

What you mean that was politicly incorrect?

To which I replied:

Quote from: SleepyDragon
postpaleo, that recipe is crook! Full-on wrong! Don't you know that you're meant to use nam pla fish sauce and chilies with the seeds still in. Ketchup and tabasco, yeesh.

Generally I'm laissez-faire about other people's food choices, but once I saw this doco on TV about feral cats. Some Aboriginal ladies were snaring them in wire traps. They were savage big buggers too (the cats, not the Aboriginal ladies, they were pretty mellow). Then they roasted 'em on the campfire and had 'em for supper. Not likely to forget that any time soon, if ever.

I agree, though, with blessedmom about eating lower down on the food chain. Much healthier. I'd be a vegetarian if it weren't for cultural pressure and my own inertia.

Those were some good times. 8)

I agree.   I have never gotten the whole chocolate covered insects thing.   I just want chocolate.
