Title: Peoples take on karma?
Post by: Mr Smith on July 05, 2009, 05:43:18 AM
Whats with people thinking giving out negative karma means you hate them? People seem to be under this impression about the system.

My take on it:

It simply means I think it was a shit post.

A few days later I might plus that person for a good post.

Honesty is a virtue. I've noticed ever since the karma system stopped being anonymous, people have been giving out less minuses. I am probably thought of as more of a bitch because I don't do this.

Whats your take on it?

I'm probably going to get trolled for this, people being stupid and spamming me minuses, but all good, I will know who to ignore in future.

I don't assume a - = not liking someone. I like it not being anonymous just like Ilike being able to see who the two individuals ignoring me are.

I prefer it not being anonymous as well.

I don't think I have given out many minuses, since I've been back, but that's more to do with me not giving a shit I think.

And yeah, if I ghey someone it's because they make a shit post, not necessarily becuase I dislike them.

I give or take away karma for a specific post, most of the time. On rare occasions I've used a post to yay the person.

It's from a comedy show and they are sending up a real life character. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chopper_Read

Well yeah, but its more complicated than that.

This guy is basing his Mark "Chopper" Reid on the movie movie version of Chopper from the movie called Chopper ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0221073/ ) played by Eric Banner. I hope that makes sense.

This is from the Wikipedia article about Chopper Read (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chopper_Read):

Quote
A fictionalized version of Read was recently featured in several sketches on The Ronnie Johns Half Hour. Some of these sketches, such as "Harden The F*ck Up!", have gained a kind of cult following among Read's fans in Australia and across the world. Chopper was portrayed by Heath Franklin. Read has praised Franklin's exaggerated impression, although he believes that Franklin is actually impersonating Eric Bana's film portrayal of Chopper, rather than Read himself.

Here's his picture from his Myspace page:

I think the movie is quite good if you get a chance to see it.

No, it starts with him in one of his prison stays.

I don't care very much about karma anymore. In fact I don't really know when I get plussed or minus. When I see a change, I look to see who did it. If anyone gives me a - I just think I must have gotten to them they had to hit the button to get back at me and now they are happy they can move on. I tend to give people a - when they piss me off what they've said. But lot of times I don't even care so I hardly touch the button. I plussed someone today for his humor. It got to me in a good way.

If I get minuses for my sense of humor, I figure that person was an idiot for not seeing it. Even regular people take me seriously so I always have to tell them I was kidding or I was teasing or I was being sarcastic. Sometimes it feels like I've switch places, they are the aspies and I'm the NT. Yesterday I go to a little gathering and everyone there had ADD but me because they would not concentrate on the game we were playing. And they thought the game was confusing when all they had to do was watch the fricken game and they would see who played the card and when the turns went reversed and who had to draw from the pile and who's turn got skipped. We were all playing UNO. One of them actually had ADD according to him. It be a funny coincidence if they all really had ADD. Funny thing was I was diagnosed with ADD when I was a kid and here I was being the normal one and they were all acting like they have ADD. I was the one who focused on the game and did nothing else while they all had to talk and not pay attention.

Sometimes do things to my mom, that have ADHD attached to them, when I don't care for what she is saying.
Sometimes people do things to make a statement.
Nutritional deficencies can make for certain behaviors, especially if the typical neuropattern isn't similar to that of a person with ADD.
You said one of them did actually have it,  throws the top one out.   If you wanted to confuse, you could use that one person, who is in on it.
