At 23:52 Eastern Australian time on 31 August 2006, Wrongplanet.net had 5641 members. Wow Alex must have been busy making a lot of sockpuppets :D
However, I simply find this estimate hard to believe to say the least. You have to account for departed and banned members whose accounts have not been deleted and still counted as members, the various multiple accounts belonging to the same person and Alex's various sockpuppets like linuxguy5555. AN more honest count of the membership list would reveal at most 500 active members of wrongplanet.net not the over 5500 going on 6000 members Alex would claim.

I certainly was noticed but they couldnt ban me because i done it cultured, like. I done it like artwork, riling people up while mostly staying within the rules, like beautiful music. You trolled like a bull in a china shop. An uncultured brute with the descreetness of an Arab with dynamite stuck round his shoulders, walking into an American airline. Back on topic (that's an obsession of mine, to be honest) I've wondered the same thing. I think that his membership list is an obsession of his, and that once somebody joins, that's it. The number of members never decreases, even if we all go away.

That's why I used larval's account when I came back (this was a few months ago) instead of creating a new ID and making his membership list go up. :laugh:

Ha I knew it. I didn't realize this place had many WP topics. But I do remember when I first joined here there was lot of WP hate talk and bad talk about Alex and I was like "WTF?" because I didn't know what was going on.
