That's a Beretta Cheetah. 13 rounds in the magazine and one in the barrel. I don't even think you can get that legally in Sweden; the barrel is too short, so it's easy concealable. In a free country that'd been perfect to carry in self-defense.
Title: Re: Wishlist!

it's not self-defence if you end up in jail. i wish there was a rule that you can shoot an intruder, like in america.

Well, in Sweden, you can get away with it only if the intruder had a firearm himself and was going to shoot you. The only one that I know has esacped jail for shooting an intruder not armed with a firearm was that father in Rödeby, who shot a kid with his shot gun, after the gang had harassed his family for years. He had to pay the kid's relatives compensation though.

So you can as well get an illegal gun too, because you have no right to feel absolutely secure even in your own home. Getting an illegal gun, shooting the intruder and dumping the body in the ocean or in some far away swamp or so would be easier than trying to follow the law, since the law is sick.
Title: Re: Wishlist!

i think if you break into someone's home you deserve to get shot. i don't fucking care about their rights, or what they have on them, i care about shooting them.

but dumping a body in the ocean after half the neighbourhood heard the shot, is hard, espesh since i'd image there's people there all night, someone in the middle of nowhere has things little different. :P

i think if you break into someone's home you deserve to get shot. i don't fucking care about their rights, or what they have on them, i care about shooting them.

Well IMO they should lose their rights when they illegally enter your property with intent to commit further crimes. I mean if they don't want to risk being harmed or killed, don't fucking break into other people's houses in the first place.

Almost similiar to what Parts posted but minus some goats. I'd end up naming them and keeping them all for pets.

My dream is an old stone farmhouse with a huge front porch (gotta have a swing of course) and a barn out back that I can turn into a "junk" shop. Nearest neighbor at least 2 miles away, some nice pine trees.

Maybe another barn off to the side with a nice 1970 plum crazy Dodge Challenger (hemi of course) tucked inside, gotta have wheels so I can get the groceries.  ;)

I have an older (ED glass, IF, but not quite so techie as the more modern ones) Nikon version and it is certainly an amazing lens, also. I also have the 180mm f2.8 EDIF which I found (surprisingly) very useful for portrait work. The 180mm, on an extension, has made some of my micro work (belly crawling bug chaser, me) more predictable and easier to accomplish.
Hope you can grab a used one at a bargain some day, as I did in both cases.

Nikons recent lenses with nanocoating in them is apparently even better quality than L series lenses. Still, most of them are overkill for me.

Might just settle on an EF 200mm f2.8 L USM. Only €700 and heard it does a decent job.

It's too easy to wish for overkill. We all go there.  But, settling for next best is what has saved me a lot of money. I am right there with you, though.

But if you can find a decent used lens in the range you described, even though it may not be the exact same, (last year's best, for instance) it will be near half the price of the newest ones, with similar properties.

I am lucky to have a number of pro dealers in downtown Indy (less than an hour's drive), who all shuffle items that the "big boys"  use and discard. I have not bought "real" camera things in about five years, but my time is approaching again. Things are going better for us and "my free cash," though still a dream, is within view.

OMG! Have you ever seen photos of the first polyphonic modular synth? It was built by Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff (the latter produced DEVO's 3rd album) in 1969 and was used by Stevie Wonder and Gil Scott-Heron among others. Serge also makes some awesome mod units. And Bob Moog (RIP) made a monster one for Keith Emerson.

BTW, sorry about the drama. My bad.

It's alright.

You're talking about TONTO right? It was mostly a moog system, but it had ARP modules in it too. Must've been a herculian effort to get it all running, building a monophonic modular is tricky itself. They've turned it into a mostly software modular during the latter days, I think.

I was looking at serge, but I'm not a fan of banana plugs. Sure they're more flexible for routing, but it'll be hassle converting them to fit on my doepfer if I ever wanted to use serge modules with it.

I get unlimited free bus and train rides all over Ireland. They're talking about giving people on the spazzibility 2-3 free flights a year apparently.

I like bleeding the government dry, their fault for offering it to me. The people who piss me off? They're paying for me through their taxes. Better still, I didn't pretend in order to get it, unlike some AND I can get a job and keep getting my spazz money. :zoinks:

Criminals used to do that back when security wasn't that tight. You could just go out in the woods and break into a military supply and then you had your submachinegun. Today, they lock them in in the barracks. A civilian couldn't get through the guards.

i was wondering why few bottleneck revolvers are available. those guys at MR are pretty smart tho, maybe they figured out how to deal with it. they also make a 22 hornet revolver.

i dont know much about those ol govt rounds, dont pay them much attention cause dad told me they are a dud round (hes more of a 3006 and 22 250 type guy). i looked at their balistics when looking at the marlin lever rifles and they seemed kinda lacking in speed and umph. do you like that round? wouldn't it make more sensse to just go 460 if the bottleneck is an issue?

With heavy bullets of big diameter the Taylor Knockout Formula is used in lieu of energy. You can read about it on John Linebaugh's website. Check out the Writings portion of this link. The old 45-70 had great killing power on Bison, Moose etc with its .458 caliber 405 grain bullet @ 1300-1400 fps. If you think of throwing a large rock into the green slime on a rivers edge @ low tide versus a smaller rock then you can get an idea of how displacement through the use of high sectional density, high mass bullets with a large meplat (the flat surface of a WFN or Semi Wadcutter bullet) can fuck up tissue with a non expanding bullet. Check this link out matthe : http://www.customsixguns.com/ (http://www.customsixguns.com/)

i think concealed weapons should be licenced. the only reason vermont, and alaska, dont require a permit for ccw is that they are both largely rural areas with no big citys, and lots of bears  and other dangerous game. big citys have problems with crime, and therefor need to regulate who is allowed to have a ccw.

vermont does not have a stand your ground law which is cowardly

in most states its quite easy to get the permit but there is a bit of hoops to jump and paperwork.

Of course you should have a stand your ground law. It should be legal to shoot any intruder per se. That's BRAVE!

besides concealing a weapon is cowardly,

brave is carrying your sixguns on your belt where everyone can see them

out in the middle of nowhere.
no people telling me to tidy this or wash that or what they think i should be doing.
somewhere I can invite friends to without my mother interfering all the time.

put a second fence round the hens one with a decent gap and a water tray and put geese in there, no dogs are gonna get through and foxes will think twice befor taking on geese. they also make great "watchdogs".

No, I meant fetish in the true sense of the word.....as in he needs it to get hard or to get off.

I had someone suck on my toe once in the middle of the action and I immediately lost the zone I was in. Totally killed my drive. It's cool if other people are into it, no issue with that. But it's on my "do not do" list if I want to enjoy what's going on. ;)

Not sure if my wishlist will show up...meh...I did write the below in response to a review of Blood on the Altar: The Coming War Between Christian vs. Christian Thought I'd include it because I spent a lot of effort and time making this response I'm not even sure the original reviewer will bother to read... :facepalm2:

PS. this is what the book is about:

As the world races toward its momentous end-times encounter between good and evil (known in the Bible as Armageddon), a deepening antagonism is developing worldwide against conservative Christians. According to a 2014 Pew Research Center report, this hostility now includes the United States, which elevated from the lowest category of government restrictions on Christian expressions as of mid-2009 to an advanced category in only the last three years.

This trend may point to one of the most overlooked aspects of Bible prophecy a war that ultimately pits born-again believers against religious Christians. NOW, FOR THE FIRST TIME, IN BLOOD ON THE ALTAR YOU WILL... * Read the Global developments that indicate Antichrist is on Earth and preparing to emerge *

Become acquainted with the government report on how true believers will be driven underground * Understand how Religious Christians are set to join Antichrist in persecuting those born-again * Discover how university experiments prove a Lucifer Effect is concealed within all humanity *

Learn how scientists have isolated the Evil Gene that will transform the armies of the Beast * Grasp the social implications involving technology that will be used for the final battle * Hear the new theory of the Image of the Beast that has powerful implications about man *

Walk with the authors as they disclose the occult organizations devising psychotropic weapons * Realize what Jesus meant by the Days of Noah and its connection to new genetic horrors * Uncover how the Mark of the Beast will change those who receive it into murderers In Blood on the Altar: The Coming War Between Christian vs. Christian, leading national and international researchers, scholars, authors, and speakers share urgent information and specialized knowledge about this coming war and what you can do to prepare for it.

Contributing authors: Thomas Horn, Gary Stearman, Chuck Missler, Cris Putnam, Michael Lake, Sharon Gilbert, Derek Gilbert, Larry Spargimino, Paul McGuire, Douglas W. Krieger, S. Douglas Woodward, and Terry James, with foreword by Stephen Quayle.

PPS. This is the review I was responding to: (I cut out the chunk I wasn't responding to in his review)

Quote
When someone has no leg to stand on it is best to ignore them.

Resist the Devil and he flees, right...don't engage him.

Another issue to be very cautious with is this: The Luciferian effect. When something gets a manmade title like that, beware. Here is what I see: They could be on to something here about the DNA changing. But this isn't really something to cling to. It really diminishes man's culpability for his own sin. This is also Satan's plan. If he can't convince everyone that sin is no longer an issue with fallen man, then he will try to convince you that it is not within your ability to decide upon or it isn't your fault. This really so much removes the relationship between God and man. It is pressing the envelope to an edge we don't want to go to. Keep it simple sweetheart...God does. Man is fallen with a sin nature. Jesus paid for it and will redeem whosoever will come to Him for forgiveness. Period. Let's no alter that.

Adam and Eve didn't have to have changed DNA to sin. They chose it because there was rebellion within the heart as God created it...free will. There is so much more to that because it all had to happen as it did in order for God to enter the heart of man and give him His mind, His Spirit, but that would take pages to discuss. Man chose sin. Man chooses sin. Man can choose Jesus. DNA can have no affect here. Scripture says that God SENDS A LIE during the wrath (last 3.5 years) to deceive the wicked so they will believe the lie and not be saved. Romans tells us it is a debased mind that denies God. But He says it is debased because it ignores Him...not because it is mutated. A heart will not come to Christ, Jesus says, because men love darkness rather than light, not because their DNA became mutated. It is their own original, unredeemed heart!!! Not mutated DNA!!! Please be careful here, you really are in an indirect way tampering a bit with the gospel. Just go back to the scriptures when you think you are on to something. If the scriptures contradict what you are thinking then you are wrong and headed down a wrong path.

Now is the DNA of the Nephilim, who I do believe are here and have always been since Noah's day at least, mutated? Of course! Are the things that come up out of the pit during the wrath mutations? Yes! No secret there, it is very clear. But to press this whole thing to such a level as to suspect that anyone anywhere is able to be mutated is just wrong. The reason God gives us for the blinding of the minds then and actually it has always been this way, is that they love darkness rather than light so He darkens their minds beyond repair. Does He do it with mutations? I don't know. He doesn't need to mutate DNA. They are born with a black heart! Let's not make man so innocent! Satan is behind this idea. Before Christ enters the heart, it is desperately wicked and beyond cure if Jesus doesn't enter it. To heck with the DNA change. Y'all are running wild with this. You are missing something as a result. Satan has succeeded in making you lose your scent. He has distracted you. Keep to the facts. I'm sure God has more info to reveal if you will stick with Him guys. The sheep are the sheep and nothing can change that.

Satan is so much more clever than we are, at least right now. He is behind these extremes believe it or not, be very careful please. God warns us not to get "heady". This is why. Satan will win there very time. Don't get heady guys. Just humbly speak the truth in love and with fire.

My fear is that all the book sales and the money earned is a corrupting mechanism. All the conferences, retreats, etc. I have never liked them one bit. I think it is not of God. My advice is to give all proceeds from your book sales and such to His work alone. Don't live off of it. Work with your hands to earn your way and your message will remain pure. When filthy lucre gets involved, men are made merchandise of. Be careful and check your hearts.

All this said, please get the book and read it. They really do have important information for the church today. Be discerning as to how you ingest it all.
God is glorified here as usual and rottenness exposed. You can't go wrong there. But consider my points as your read and ponder. Check the scriptures above all things. Spend most of your time deep in the word and you cannot be deceived, ever.

And this is the response to the review of the book that I spent 2 hours writing.

Quote
"Pluripotent stem cells hold great promise in the field of regenerative medicine. Because they can propagate indefinitely, as well as give rise to every other cell type in the body (such as neurons, heart, pancreatic, and liver cells), they represent a single source of cells that could be used to replace those lost to damage or disease." -From Wiki

Hang on for a second while I explain some DNA science. The above explains basically scientists have reached the point of not needing embryo human cells, they've been there for some time actually 2009'ish.

My point to your point of 'Adam and Eve didn't need reprogrammed DNA' yes this is true. But as humans 'increase in knowledge' we have been able to print out organs (3D Printing) so that the issue of translation and rejection from another humans organ is eliminated.

The dark side to this coin? Sin.
The pride of life, the "hey I came up with this DNA marker to reprogram blah blah blah."

That is to say we are still in a fallen state as you (the reviewer) well know.

There is such a thing as Human DNA being altered. We are at the cusp of it, the only side you really can find info. readily on is the side they (the researchers) wish the public to see.

There are in the near future (if not already) going to be half human-half take your animal pick hybrid 'humans.'

You know that verse 'God sings over us.'

"The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17 (I love this verse)

Did you know the human DNA makes a song? see: blog.23andme(dot)com/23andme-and-you/dna-melody-play-it-again/ copy and past it's really neat!

Also, all of creation sings!

Psalms 96
"Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
13 Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.

Some other of mention sections in that psalm that are truth, for the word is truth and light.
The earth makes a tone, a hum, as do we, we have a DNA song the Great 'I AM' has created.

My point in saying all of the above is yes, it is possible to alter the DNA song God put into our very beings, and as you stated about other things this is indeed a scary thing to proceed with caution.

To alter what God made in His image? To use the knowledge gifted to someone whom is a DNA scientist for such outright evil, is a frightful thing indeed.

It is a darken and depraved mind that does this, it dose exist.

However, God also heals still and 'greater things we will do' not of ourselves but through and by Jesus. All about him. Also in that psalm it mentions giving all glory to God. Do you think someone who prints an organ will do so? Some might, many won't.

Getting into the Word of God, Listening to the Lord, Hearing from Him is so very critical in this hour we're in.

I agree with what you've written. Only to add to it more in agreement with what you've said but also to say yea the DNA stuff does exist.
Stay Well fellow follower of God.
Just thought this might help you out as far as insight.

You have to learn self control. :M

Self-control is highly overrated.  :zoinks:

Not yet. I've not heard from them. Not sure what to make of it.

Do you still have that fetus for a boss that used to annoy you so?

No, thankfully he left, but instead I have the owner's son as the boss, and he is fucking useless.

Serious Wish List:

I wish my school debt was paid off instead of the school I had to leave at the time holding it against me.

I wish I was actually able to use a debt consolidation program but as it stands until I am employed with a company and or something IT I cannot afford to even budget for paying down my debt.

I wish during this year of Jubilee, that it was actually observed in this country and debt was canceled every seven years...(I truly want to pay it off I just have at this point no means to)

I wish I was off SSI and employed in an IT position, as of yesterday.

I wish working on this test didn't take as long as it has been taking, with as much heartache as it's taken.

I wish my brother would stop saying that 'I'm not employed' and failing to see that I am working my butt off to pass this test and become employed at the end of 2015, with both A plus tests passed.

I wish He'd stop using me as an excuse to not become employed again.

I wish I wasn't the oldest kid sometimes, because a lot is heaped on me as far as 'well if she can do it then' etc...

I wish I didn't care as much as I do, or had a soft heart, but then again I'd be back to what I was before.

More then anything I just wish people cared really cared...looking out for one another, honestly and not with self interest in mind, I hate hate, I loathe sin, and I wish God was back already...
