Sounds good to me. His little "community" is a series of lies and fakery anyway.
-
"TheZach" sounds familiar, but I'm not sure why.
So much of the AS community crapshite I have either ignored or tried to deliberately forget. Do we know of this Zachary Lassiter from WP, maybe?
..... or somewhere else?
-
 couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.
Seconded. :zoinks:

Zach is the guy Sir Les had trouble with a while back on AFF.

Ah, all I see is copying of documents, you make it sound like murder. All I am saying is if I was as pissed off, I might tend to equate them like that, but me, I tend to say big whup. All he has to do is remove the article in question. An unfit mind running a website, its almost as if he is deny otherwise.
-
I am not sure what that was about but I couldn't be arsed to read it all. Maybe some other time. Something about copyright infringement.

wtf is this shit.. someone give me the gist of it?

Well as you have a WP link its not difficult, unless planky had deleted the thread.
Unless you are asking about the DMCA?

I would love to celebrate, but guys, I think Randy's talking sense here. Very cool to see Alex's pseudo-legal blustering get met by somebody else's, but that's all it is, legal blustering.

Yeah true, but its an hillarious waste of his time. Assuming he notices before the lawsuit hits his desk.

its an hillarious waste of his time.
That it is. ;D

Was this the result of somebody quoting an article in a thread?
I just glanced over the PDF the other day but didn't have much time to study it in detail.
-
Doubt it'll get far to be honest, Alex will still be able to show of his yella runnahs to his spastic fans. JerryHakate will run up to him and suck him off like the tard he is.

and dont't forget that Alex's daddy is a lawyer and will probably get him off anyway. All the same, this might be a wake-up call for Alex to pay more attention to what's going on in his site.

He seems to be the champion of very very high functioning aspies who act like NTs. I don't know if he is the champion of any aspies who want to be proud of who they are and not change into NT clones.

:o
I can't believe he is invited along to the UN and all that! We need to find a replacement.
-
I know someone much more suitable. 8)
-
Agreed ;D
We need someone there to fight cultural genocide for us. The UN takes genocide very seriously I gather...
-
We need somebody to keep it real.

Okay, inter-forum politics and bad blood aside, that's just crap. Sure, there's plagarism, but IMO, someone quoting another site's article in part or in whole for purposes of discussion, should be regarded the same as if people were in a room discussing it out loud and not creating a written record in the process. As much as I'd like to discuss articles in a room full of people of similar walks of life, we all live thousands of miles apart and that's just not possible.
Media outlets could use that tactic on a regular basis to control what people en masse think. Just intimidate potential critics with legal threats (real or bogus), and nobody will argue with you. (Nobody who wants to be financially stable, that is.)

Its the fact that they pasted over 50% of his "article" on there or something, technically it was illegal, but suing Plank for it is just hilarious.
-
He deserves it for fucking over my friends here who used to be his loyal staff.
I hope that site closes too.
-
I guess the only way around it is to post a link and then paraphrase instead of quoting verbatim.
Wrong Planet is way too busy a site for one admin and some moderators to police constantly. The only way around would be to add a plug-in that would automatically check links and make sure the article isn't re-posted by more than 50%. Not that I like the idea of having to resort to that (I'd like to be able to quote an entire article, nitpick it in parentheses all throughout, and call the author a total fucking idiot if I feel like it.), but if that's what it takes to prevent a barrage of legal threats, then so be it.
I rarely go to Wrong Planet. It's just too busy to keep up with. I have been visiting and posting more lately, since I downloaded its widget, but not by much. The way I see it, it's like the Grand Central Station of Aspie forums. You have to take notice whether or not you like the way it's run. (Kind of like if there's a large city and you just happen to dislike the mayor. Doesn't mean the whole city's a bad place.)

It's funny but it's a non-issue.
And if Alex wants to speak for the spazzes, let him. It won't matter, it won't actually change anything. :wanker:

Ah, now I was talking to an aspie friend who said that there have been fights in every aspie forum she's ever gone to.
So, do you think anybody in the UN takes A Plankton seriously?

There are fights on every NT forum too...flamewars, intrigues...

But if there is really a cultural genocide (though I wouldn't misuse a word as strong as genocide. Deliberate murder and murder by neglect, yes, but the numbers don't come near genocide levels) then I'm as baffled as Lit why people aren't motivated to fight it.

I don't really have time to write an essay, but I am happy to sketch it out. Essentially what we have here is a group of people (ourselves) are forced to behave in a certain manner that we would otherwise would not by NT society and their bullying / browbeating. I really don't need to go further, I am sure Lit will be more direct here.

Most of them either just accept it or have no idea where to begin in fighting it. We do have a lot angry people on our side, the problem is they are not sure how to direct it and what to direct it at.

They try to force us into their stupid NT pattern of thinking and behaving, that's obvious to everyone. And it's unacceptable. They're not superior, they're just a bunch of stupid herd cattle that happens to be in majority.

Why don't you focus on the places where people are actually (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_McCarron) being (http://timesunion.com/specialreports/jonathan/) killed (http://ballastexistenz.autistics.org/?p=191)?
The general public is not going to take seriously a trumped up bullying accusation by a resentful young man calling it a genocide.

Because we first need to rally our own base, if we can do that then we have some sort of movement. The best way to rally our people is to use their experiences to persuade them and the majority of the people who we can rally are aspies who are going to be more bothered about having been bullied at school for being one, rather than a distant person on the spectrum dying off. Brutal sounding I know, but its more pragmatic.
But lets assume we get the general public rallied around over those killings. What will it actually do about our lives? Not a lot really - there will be some murmurings and then 6 weeks down the line its business as usual.
-
Do you know what "genocide" means?

Yes, they do. However it's damn hard to convince people of that without something concrete to explain it with.
-
I'm with Pyraxis on this one. Less amateur dramatics would help your point better than calling the insensitive actions of 'normal' people 'genocide' - most people don't even understand how we see the world, never mind actively persecute 'our culture' for being different. They simply aren't aware of it, or of how little they'd have to do to accommodate our needs.

Its about selling it to our own people, the rest of the world are going to be by and large indifferent unless we do something that affects them. Which requires ourselves having an effective movement, possibly expanding it to the aegis of Disability Rights.

Check out what "cultural genocide" means - its different to plain vanilla "genocide".

And yet they always stress how "empathic" the fucking NTs are...
-
If you try selling it to 'our' people as genocide, I suspect most people will just tell you to fuck off. The few who would agree with such a hysterical position are AFF members, most likely, and I certainly wouldn't throw in my lot with hypersensitive crybabies like that - and I doubt they're representative of most folk on the spectrum.

Yeah, fine job you do of rallying our base, though. The only person who ever gets rallied is Lit, and he does more to hurt the cause than help it, cause he's so easy to write off as a nutcase.
Alex may be an ass with a crappy website but he's much more politically savvy than anyone here. (Or leeching off his father's savvy, but it doesn't really matter.)
The murders do make ripples through the spectrum communities, even if they fade quickly.
But if your idea behind protesting bullying is to start local, then probably one of the most helpful things will be to develop your own skills, persistence, and charisma.
Which means losing the arrogant sensationalist crap. :zoinks:

If you try selling it to 'our' people as genocide, I suspect most people will just tell you to fuck off. The few who would agree with such a hysterical position are AFF members, most likely, and I certainly wouldn't throw in my lot with hypersensitive crybabies like that - and I doubt they're representative of most folk on the spectrum.
Cultural genocide is a notch down - do your research here please. There are already schemes going off in the UK to get rid of us (even if this one is laughably ineffective):
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article676000.ece
AFF are yes hysterical, but when serious stuff begins to come out on the lines of prenatal testing, people will jump on board.
-
cultural genocide would imply a) that we have a distinct culture, and that b) there is a deliberate attempt to extinguish it. so it is still bollocks, and the inclusion of the emotive term 'genocide' invites a deliberate comparison with the slaughter of millions. so yes, it is hysterical. And I already know what the term 'cultural genocide' means, ta - do you?

I haven't started anything yet really. Plus I intend to persuade people in person rather than through the internet - its a lot more easier that way.
Alex may be an ass with a crappy website but he's much more politically savvy than anyone here. (Or leeching off his father's savvy, but it doesn't really matter.)
I am reasonably savvy politically - student politics has been reasonably successful for myself.
The murders do make ripples through the spectrum communities, even if they fade quickly.
So we need something else. Ideally I don't particularly want to be waiting around for the pre-natal test to show up.
But if your idea behind protesting bullying is to start local, then probably one of the most helpful things will be to develop your own skills, persistence, and charisma.
Which is why I signed up with a political party recently and have been getting involved.

Again look at Tibet - what happens to ourselves by and large is not too dissimilar.

So ways of thinking, behaving, acting and so on are not parts of culture.
As for the millions of people - yes there are probably millions of people on the spectrum leading some pretty miserable lives thanks to society. There are also quite a fair few killing themselves as a result - might want to include that into your calculations.

Great, well, why not? And what qualifies you to dispense ream after ream of advice and even dream that it's accurate or helpful?
Plus I intend to persuade people in person rather than through the internet - its a lot more easier that way.
You intend to convince aspies in person? You think this will somehow work better than the internet, when it's the internet that has led to all the communities and the coming together of the past ten years?
How?
Which is why I signed up with a political party recently and have been getting involved.
Cool.
Which means losing the arrogant sensationalist crap. :zoinks:

This is meaningless. Your abrasive and alienating demeanor has nothing to do with Tibet.

People are stupid. They whine when "Palestinians" are shot back at in Israel but they don't react when Aspies are being culturally, economically and socially murdered in their own countries.
-
Cultural genocide? Care to elaborate?
I don't really have time to write an essay, but I am happy to sketch it out. Essentially what we have here is a group of people (ourselves) are forced to behave in a certain manner that we would otherwise would not by NT society and their bullying / browbeating. I really don't need to go further, I am sure Lit will be more direct here.
Do you know what "genocide" means?
Tibet.
Try again.
Check out what "cultural genocide" means - its different to plain vanilla "genocide".
OK. Let's use Wikipedia's definition:
Cultural genocide is a term used to describe the deliberate destruction of the cultural heritage of a people or nation for political, military, religious, ideological, ethnical, or racial reasons.
Care to try again? Or explain why you think there is a *deliberate* action going on to destroy our "cultural heritage". Then explain what our cultural heritage is.
You're not going to be taken seriously unless you can demonstrate at least a basic coherency here, you know.
-

We have no uniformly distinct ways of thinking, behaving, acting and so on - I like the expression someone used, 'if you've met one aspie, you've seen... one aspie'. we have no shared belief, heritage, way of life, etc, which would fairly be characterised as culture. All we share are some coping mechanisms and difficulties/differences in cognition and sensory processing. Hardly a culture.
And I see you completely ignored addressing the word 'deliberate', even if one were to accept at face value the prospect of millions of miserable autistics, whose misery were caused by society and not in part by the difficulties posed by their disability in acheiving their personal objectives (e.g. romance, sustainable employment).

Age or lack of it. Plus before I set down on such a path I want to be fully prepared.

I get enough people asking for my own advice on various things already.

Subtlely pointing them in the right direction, a quiet word in the ear to look up a few well chosen things and then come back and ask for more. The internet has an obvious flaw in that its in general an awful lot harder to persuade people of things than in person. Plus to actually achieve anything meaningful, we need a physical offline movement, so its easier to build it offline (using the internet perhaps as a media tool).
Which is why I signed up with a political party recently and have been getting involved.

Let's face it. Neither you nor Lit have enough credibility to speak for any cause, let alone "our" cause.
We'll see about that. I have a friend in the Attention movement.
<sarcasm>Ah, yes. Their impact in our society has been considerable. </sarcasm>

what the fuck is the attention movement? ???

If worshipping an illiterate pedophile "prophet" is a culture, then it's also a culture to want to be left on your own, to have obsessions, to be shy, to have difficulties to "socialize" etc etc.

Not here online, you don't. Even if your persuasive skills are somehow much better in person than online (I don't know, but I could buy it), surely it makes more sense to change your technique once you're in an environment where it's no longer working.

This is meaningless. Your abrasive and alienating demeanor has nothing to do with Tibet.
The cultural genocide argument does.
Well, sorry to say, but I'm not going to call what's happening to autistics a cultural genocide, and no amount of repeating the argument will change that.
But this is part of how you go wrong - thinking that if you just keep saying the same thing, you'll eventually be listened to, long after people have written you off and you're wasting your breath on idiots who like to poke buttons just for the trolling thrill. You've got to make more attempt to meet people on their own ground.

The $1 billion which Bush signed off on for Autism research was not done for political reasons? There are of course other examples - remember every place has its politics, even a classroom. But if you want a religious example - look at for example the "Prayer for Autism" online group, or possibly the Jett Travolta stuff (though in the latter case we can't be sure).

When someone gets around to defining Aspie properly it would be more easier to show a culture. But if you want an example - think at how much easily Aspies have been able to get to grip with computers - maybe its because it was Aspie's by and large who came up with the logic etc structure. Call it what you like for now, you might want to change your mind in a few years.
Though the repeating strategy is the best one in politics, the reason for example US senators have had a 96% reelection rate is because they get their name repeated everywhere in the media for their term. Thats pretty much all they do.

Few people have copied and pasted my posts before and I didn't see it as copyright infringement. I have been told it's wrong to do but people do it anyway so I don't see why it be wrong.

"please withdraw your claim because I don't want to waste my time writing a counter-notice explaining why you have no case for copyright infringement and why you're full of sh**."
How polite

Once he gets enough exposure all the skeletons he has in his cupboard will pop out - if he gets anywhere too high then it will be his own demise. He is not Mandelson; far from it. Its easier to wait for him to fall.
You think? What would make the tipping point?
The last thing I want now is a big group of followers, it is not my time. Once you become liable for a group of people it takes a serious amount of effort to deal with them. Remember about power needing to be maintained - I certainly don't want any before its time if I can help it.
Okay, fair enough, I can understand that. But what do you see as your current role, then?
One problem, although I know who they are mostly - approaching most of them is difficult without publically giving up the pretence that I am an NT.
Yes, that would be a problem. :P It's hard to advocate for the needs of a group when you can't even publically identify with them. What do you intend to do, come out as autistic once you've got yourself established, or something?
Though the easiest way would be to exploit the offline networks that exist quite a bit already, namely the NAS in the UK which has an annual budget of £70m just so you get an idea of its size.
Are the members of the NAS even close to the same demographic as the members of the online communities?
Though the repeating strategy is the best one in politics, the reason for example US senators have had a 96% reelection rate is because they get their name repeated everywhere in the media for their term. Thats pretty much all they do.
An online message board full of intelligent autistic individuals, where communication happens one on one, is a very far cry from a US senator addressing a crowd over mass media. This is what I mean about knowing your audience.
-
A rebel looking for a cause?
A rebel without a clue, more like.

You think? What would make the tipping point?
The point when any half-serious journalist bothers to investigate his background rather than just using him as an easy source of articles to pad out a magazine. So basically whenever he gets given something more meaningful than an invite to sit in a room, something with some actual power attached to it. If he ever gets offered that is of course, because no political party would take him on, they investigate all candidates backgrounds (trust me they are pretty dirty when it comes to this).
Learning the skills necessary to do something - basically little more than biding my time. Of course if anyone shows up who is eager to do something, I might drop them a suggestion or two.
Ideally I would like to set up the show and then disappear into the background. If things get to the point when I have to show my hand publically then obviously then I will do so - though I really would rather avoid it if possible.
Though the easiest way would be to exploit the offline networks that exist quite a bit already, namely the NAS in the UK which has an annual budget of £70m just so you get an idea of its size.

Its largely parents, though due to the size of the organisation it would still make a good recruiting ground. Especially as they are now trying to get people on the spectrum more involved with the organisation.
Ideally I don't want the smarter ones to be too dominant in the organisation for that very reason. The chances are we would spend more time fighting ourselves than actually getting anything productive done. Really we need a smart hardcore of say 10-20 well picked people to run the show - picked both for their talents and commitment to the cause.

Plank has more to say:
WP Member: Could you not just delete the post in question? It would be certainly quicker than writing a letter.
Alex: Because I actually have principles
...so he claims...
-
I can understand his point of view. I doubt the copyright infringement claim would hold.
-
I think his point of view is useful to take note of for the next time he cries copyright infringement because of someone quoting something from WrongPlanet elsewhere.
-

Has he done that? I am so tempted to make a sockpuppet just to stick it in that thread... :evillaugh:
-
wtf is this shit.. someone give me the gist of it?
Well as you have a WP link its not difficult, unless planky had deleted the thread.
Unless you are asking about the DMCA?
I can't be bothered reading the whole thng. Hence why I asked for the gist.

He's been very paranoid in the past about people quoting his words, because he doesn't want to be caught in a lie. He freely deletes his own posts and those of others he thinks will cause him trouble.
A good way to take him down, when somebody eventually does, will be to go around to all the people who've been slighted by him, gather any chat logs and written records they have, cross reference it all, and publicize it. If Alex hasn't changed from the way he used to be, that will reveal glaring inconsistences, evasions, and outright lies all over the place.
-
Someone on WP quoted a post from Zack's blog and posted it on WP and he didn't like it. So he is suing Alex for it. I mean I don't see news stations and newspaper companies suing forums just because someone quoted their article and posted the link.
meh. I'm probably going to get flamed, but that's pretty fucking stupid.

Yup - so if he gets anywhere then all we need to do is tip off a journalist. I doubt he will get too far however myself.
The only problem is making sure a better replacement fills the vacuum, otherwise we are at square one again.
-
The thing that gets me (well, one of them) is that if there were a better replacement, they would already have stepped up and become successful. Instead, Intensity is it. It fills a niche but it's not speaking to the UN. :P
If there's a vacuum, what exactly is the nature of it?

He is responding now and says he has principles

Yes, we know all about Alex's "principles".
:grrr: :zombiefuck:

Well no Wrong Planet and as most of the members either don't have a clue or have the inclination to come here, something has to fill the gap. It would probably end up being AFF I fear.

So you don't like AP/Wp.
ZOMG LETS FLAME THE MEMBERS THERE NOW! In my opinion that is just biased and rude. Since I started posting at WP again, some of the members I've noticed are just your regular aspie, and pretty cool people.

Well it would be fun to have some crybabies to play with even if most will run back out having pooped their nappies. Though if the site was on the verge of collapse - I am sure someone would send out an email to anyone who was OK on there.

So you don't like AP/Wp.
ZOMG LETS FLAME THE MEMBERS THERE NOW!
Did Alex offer to make you a moderator or something?

Actually I wouldn't say "most" whine.
There are a few whiners, I don't tend to read their posts anyway. The majority of the posts I read are fine. How do you define a whiner? Moaning about life? Well, it is a support site.

Do people get good support there yet?

Its the defeatist attitudes that most of the members have - and god forbid if anyone actually gave some honest advice (i.e. moan less, get out more)
-

More in the parents section than others most of the other stuff is just back patting

Getting out more doesn't always solve the problems. I went out last night two two places, and found it really hard to relate to people and came home in a rather defeated mood.
-
Do people get good support there yet?
Yeah, I think many members rise to the occasion to help.
Yeah they do rise splendidly to help - the only problem its nearly always the wrong sort of help. All they do is enable people to continue the pity party.
For example did you see that thread where that poor girl was getting shredded for putting up notice of a study she was doing (as approved by Alex)?
-

No - but in half the cases they probably just need a good kick up the backside. Going out in itself though is not enough, you need to go somewhere you want to go (even if there were few people there). Going out for its own sake rarely works.

I haven't been back there for a long time.
I'm interested in whether and how the members manage to transcend the poor leadership, though.

There are a few good members there, but quite a lot are a bit lame. Alex has not spotted my latest sockpuppet yet. Might be because he is being polite :P
-
No - but in half the cases they probably just need a good kick up the backside.
LOL :plus:
Sort of thing my mother says about people.
I wouldn't say going out helps, but getting active does. Go for a walk, eat well, you will be proud of yourself.

Why would I flame you for saying TheZack is stupid? It's true.

That contradicts everything I was told about the place and what I experienced, along with several of my friends. There were some whiners in the parent section, the adult section, the dating section, and so on eg. "poor me, my kid has autism and they stimmmmmm" or "poor me, I treat women like shite and then none of them will date me". It doesn't take too long to tell the people with genuine issues from the ones who like having a whinge and a whine.

Sounds like zach has selfesteem issue caring so much might not learned to deal with life no offense i think some call him stupid displacing some of their feelings about their own dx who ever you are your not stupid you havent learned to cope

Few people have copied and pasted my posts before and I didn't see it as copyright infringement. I have been told it's wrong to do but people do it anyway so I don't see why it be wrong.
It is perfectly legal to quote from any internet source, as long as you provide a link to the source in your post.
A suit can still be brought to court, but the link will remove any argument claiming an infringement of copyright.
This shit I know about.

Well as you have a WP link its not difficult, unless planky had deleted the thread.
Unless you are asking about the DMCA?

Internet copyright is fuzzy at best. Alex's dad is a lawyer and probably good enough at what he does. I'm pretty sure Alex talked to him before taking a stand.

Maybe, maybe not. He can be foolishly impulsive at times; that's what leads to him saying something reeeally awkward like the bit about Starb's suicide, and then frantically backpedaling and editing/erasing stuff.

Now, I will be flamed, but I agree with this. LOL
I can think of two specific examples, who went there for a time and left, who I stayed in contact with for a while, who were benefited by their exposure. One lives not far away and we may yet meet up, since we still talk some.
They were not the regular teen types who go there, though.

I only said that since Hadron says he subscribes to the anti-Alex brigade, it makes him biased. Meaning he is not neutral.
For a brief period of time, I did get something out of WP myself.

I think a lot of us did, then got burned. It's kinda like we were all betrayed by the same psycho ex and share the same hurt and rage.

Nah, he'll still be at boring UN conferences as our champion of autistic spazzes.
He seems to be the champion of very very high functioning aspies who act like NTs. I don't know if he is the champion of any aspies who want to be proud of who they are and not change into NT clones.
:o
I can't believe he is invited along to the UN and all that! We need to find a replacement.
I volunteer! :headbang2:
-
I didn't. Like the first day I started posting on there the mods wanted to sniff my dick. Then like the third day I got a PM from an admin about one of my posts. I can't remember, something like "WHOA WHOA now this is a family oriented site!". I asked him for a list of things I could and could not say and he said if you don't know, we can't help you. I was like lol fuck you i'm about to bomb this site with profanity. But then richard came and told me about this one. And i've remained here ever since.

OTS was started that way. And, to an extent, Gestalt.
I2, obviously, was started to satisfy McJ's altruistic streak. :P

It was mostly started so that us Intensity refugees could still have somewhere to bitch at each other and post off-colour images after it left the Neurolands.

I became ever more disgruntled trying for my "daily fix."
I eventually found this place. I have come to know a few of the regulars in a kind of periphery view and I am more comfortable with this bunch.
I doubt that I will ever go back, except out of a momentary curiosity.
-
I can't go back. I'm banned.
-
I'm not. It's one of the few moderated boards where I'm strangely not banned.
-
Alex only bans people who are a threat to *him* in some way.
-
:zoinks:
-
I can't go back. I'm banned.
Making a new account isn't difficult. I doubt anyone would notice if you called yourself Cineworld or Showcase tbh...
-
Or Pappa Moomin. :hahaha:

There is that. But then, that place holds no interest to me.
-
Or Pappa Moomin. :hahaha:
I like the moomins. Got a problem with that, you anti-moomin nazi fuck?
-
No, I just think it's funny. But you're not a Moomin troll. They're not conformists. 8)

Do try to keep up. Either I am or I'm not. You can't have it both ways.

Do you have a top hat and a can? :P

Do you have a top hat and a can? :P
A cane, you mean? Yes, I own one. My hip isn't what it should be, and when it is bad enough I need the cane. :( But a top hat? No.

Actually, he meant 'top can.' There's nothing like a guy with a nice, top-notch ass wearing a top hat.
-
My ass is great and I would look nice in a top hat. 8)

For a brief period of time, I did get something out of WP myself.
I think a lot of us did, then got burned. It's kinda like we were all betrayed by the same psycho ex and share the same hurt and rage.
I liked WP when I first joined there. I was on holiday with GA when he got banned for no reason (he and other moderators were banned at the same time) so we both joined Gestalt.
Everytime I have gone back to WP I post something and look at it again a day later and the thread I posted in is on the second page. What is the point of me posting there if his happens? WP is too big.
-
He did ban me though i was doing shit infront of him i can be a real pric didnt ban maybe because he is a faggot:">
-
He banned my likedcalico account. I posted two topics and I got banned for them but they were in the adult discussion. Alex just hated my fetish but he accepted others. So I kept posting them to piss him off. I can get pretty nasty when dealing with ignorance. I guess he got fed up with it, he finally banned me. People were also reporting my threads too. They were all stupid so I kept on doing it.
PS I have seen him lock another diaper thread and it wasn't even mine but the thread was two years old and someone decided to reply in it two years later. Alex saw it and locked it. I guess he has to see them to lock it or have someone report it to him while my threads stood out more because I did it all the time. That explains the discrimination. It's about time I finally figured it out but I still think he is a douche. Now I seldom mention it.
-
In a thread where people were posting about snot and farts, Alex told everyone they were disgusting and locked the thread. What a wuss.
-
Alex is a coward. :agreed:

Yes, for once you're right.

My god. Sounds like snacks. I'm sure most of you guys know who that is.

Nope, no clue. Snacks is a person? OK, I suppose.
I thought you meant that snot and farts were your snacks.
:asthing:

Snacks was a mod on 4chan for a while back in the day. He had a reputation for being a total faggot, he loved child pornography, and he banned people for no apparent reason. I'm not joking. Some people even made up a logo for him. "Around snacks, never relax." ::)
In short, he was a total jerk.

I don't need the cane all the time, just now and then. And House's bedside manners are better than mine. :P

I once posted a thread called "Anyone like to swallow their snot?" and the first response I got was "That makes me want to vomit no offense."
Now why would that offend me? She was just speaking the truth about herself.
When I have a cold, I just keep sniffling and swallow it. Better than using kleenex and carrying them with you and having to carry the used ones until you find a trash can. Sometimes I spit it out on the sidewalk. I'm surprised that didn't get locked. I guess he didn't see it or no one reported it.
One time I started a thread and I talked about how I got into an argument with my bf because he wouldn't give me a logical answer so I kept questioning him and I was basically shouting at him and we were at a bus stop. It was about if there were fart bags you can wear one in your ass and when you fart, the smell goes into the bag and no one would be able to smell it and I wanted to know why he wouldn't want to try it if there were them but he kept saying "I don't want to." Well the topic lead onto about farts or whatever and Sinsboldly reposts the rules in the threads and bolds where we were violating them and told us to knock it off.
I still think the fart bags was funny.
I really really hate getting these answers:
"Because I said so."
"Just because."
Any illogical answers that doesn't explain anything. Sadly I can't do that with my mother because she gets mad so she just says she can't explain it because it's hard to.
I drove my whole family crazy with my bunch of questions when I was a kid. I wanted to know everything and have a logical explanation to everything and if you didn't give me it, I wouldn't listen. Then I came to a conclusion when I was 12 people are too lazy to answer.

I do that too. I can't be arsed to carry around kleenex and I keep forgetting to do laundry so I have no clean hankerchiefs. Also I have constant allergies.

Alex said somewhere that there shouldn't be any threads about excretory functions but I saw one of his movies and he was talking about throwing bags of shit out of the dorm window at the coppers when he was a student.

Yeah. I think everyone who has come to this site knows just how much of a dumbass alex is.

Not everyone, I haven't had any specific run ins with alex other than him seeing me act nutty, and then encouraging me.
I am saying I don't really know about him being a dumbass.

I haven't had problems with Alex either, but I had some trouble with that jerk Mr mark or whatever he's called. ::)
-
I had several run ins with Lau-sy. Fucking fuckhead.

Yeah. I think everyone who has come to this site knows just how much of a dumbass alex is.
That's how I found out about him.
Before, I just thought he was some nice guy who ran the site but didn't know the secret behind it. I can't remember if I started making threads before to piss him off or after. But it was around the time I realized how much a dumbshit he is and this site opened more doors about it.

Hypocrite. Someone should have called him out for it. I wonder if someone did?
I think he added the 'excretory functions' part to the rules later on. I don't remember seeing it there before.
Everytime mods edits a post, it doesn't even show at the bottom when the post was last edited.

The title of this topic would be funnier if I were dyslexic... :P

Yes, he often does that - adds extra bits to the rules in order to justify his words after the fact.
-
I generally stay out of his way these days, I don't really give two shits about the drama on WP. I still lurk there in an old sockpuppet account.

I hock loogies. I can spit pretty far too.
Same here! If I swallow too much I get nauseous. Spitting it out is the most environmentally friendly way to do it. It is a natural function to excrete such things. I don't understand why people get so bothered by it. I only spit in the grass/plants or the street where people are less likely to encounter it, as a courtesy to society. I spit constantly while I'm driving. I've been attacked several times over the years for spitting on other cars accidentally and they chased me down, all pissed off. ::)

Some cultures feel that spitting is the utmost insult anyone can show to another person or to the very face of nature itself. I am not one of them, but as natural as some bodily functions seem to be to some of us, there are other people who see certain bodily functions as more spiritual than functional and those people may be quite easy to insult with even the slightest reference to what they hold as Reserved-For-The-Holy-Ones. Those bodily functions must be pursued only within the spiritual presence and with the blessing of the Holy.
Spitting is serious shit!! I have seen fights begin over a simple bit of misrendered spittle.
I have none of that superstitious influence as a part of my own mind, but if you spat a loogie on my car windshield, I too might want "satisfaction," of some sort.
:indeed:

So, you think he is Lausy too. I'm glad it wasn't just me then. Sinsbadly was okay sometimes but other times as mad as a cut snake. Markety Mark reminded me of a prissy middle-aged lady. Couldn't really work Quatermass out.

I'm gonna make it an over-exaggerated point to spit on people's belongings from now on. Its difficult to kick my ass because aside from aspergers I have several other "mental differences", and I have been blatantly told I had "crazy retard strength".
p.s. I like to fight. A lot.
-
"Crazy retard strength"? :-\

Yeah thats what they said. I dunno either. I assumed it meant out of control or something.

Never heard it called that, but I've seen it before.

When a spazz gets really pissed off, he gets "retard strength".

While I understand other cultures have their beliefs, I do not understand the logic that I am responsible for meeting another culture's beliefs whether I am in that culture or not. That seems to place one set of ideals above another, which doesn't respect the other beliefs. I'll respect people to live their lives their way, but demand the same in return. Otherwise they can fuck off.
With regards to accidentally spitting on your property, I agree and understand that being upsetting to people, as it is a violation of one's personal space/property. However, chasing someone down and attacking them violently is extremely immature and barbaric. If I did it on purpose, as in we were having words and I spit on you or somethign of yours, then whatever. I still don't believe in violence. but that can be a form of assault. The response should be of equal measure, but we know that is not the case.
To make my point clear, I do take into account my surroundings and the potential interaction of other people with my excretions, but I cannot always properly compensate for wind and other forces of nature.
Oh yeah, as an abomination to nature itself...I say whatever! ::) Seriously, our excretions are nutritious for most other life forms, so sharing them is actually good for the environment. Maybe sans the methane gas.

That can't be good, but neither was my old habit of hitting all the wrong things when I got "that pissed," causing longitudinal, hairline compression fractures to my metacarpal bones.

... and our very breath, to hear some WACKOs talk about it, but I'm a horticulturist at heart (though somewhat frustrated, right now).
Don't worry, I would NOT chase anyone down. I was mainly joking around and pointing out one of the curious ways other people's superstitions can cause them to behave.
Here's an idea ...
"Your right to drive your car ends where ever my spit goes. Deal with it!" :eyelash:
On a similar note, I have had people drive around the block, stop on the street, get out of their car to interrupt me from mowing my grass to tell me that a rock flew up from my mower and hit their car. They then asked me something like what I was going to do about it. BASTARDS!
My response is usually along the lines of ... "Help me to try and understand this. You saw that someone was mowing their grass, creating a dangerous situation for you to drive through and you chose to continue driving down that street, knowing full well that dangerous work was happening there, yet somehow you expect ME to be responsible for your poor choice?"
To begin with, I don't have any fucking rocks in my lawn. It may be possible that a small pebble from the road landed there and my next mowing tossed it back out towards the street, but it would not be anything big enough to even scratch paint.
I honestly think that some people just want to be dickheads, sometimes.
