Title: The leak in the bathroom
Post by: Natalia Evans on January 04, 2009, 03:44:52 PM
So that's why there has been water on the floor. I thought the toilet was leaking or something but I wasn't sure and I thought it came from the shower after I get out when I'm done, same as my bf when he take one and be done. But last night I was on the toilet and then I felt a splat on my hand and I looked up and I see the sheetrock drooping next to the vent and there is water on it. Oh no the roof is leaking but my bf said it's the vent. So today I called my landlord and left a message on the answering machine since she wasn't home. But the problem is very mild my bf says. The leak just started.

Reason I didn't call the landlord before was because I didn't know what the problem was and once I figured it out, I called her and told her. I don't like to call people and complain about a problem and not know what's causing it and have them come and look at it and not see the problem and I made myself look like a liar.

Roof leaks can be very tricky water travels a long way before it shows.  fixing now with the snow might not be so easy.  Good luck :)

The landlord came over and her son went up into the crawl space and looked for the leak but couldn't find it so they looked at the ceiling and said they can't do anything about it until the find the problem. It didn't leak again last night than god. I dunno if they fixed it.
My bf said it was dripping on his head this weeked while he was on the jon and it was raining real hard outside.

They make temporary roofing repair stuff.  It comes in 5 gallon buckets  it's like really thick paint you put on top of the shingles

You know what, the hormone says fuck em,  not literally

Landlords don't do, but they come and get the rent.  The complain about money owed to.
Its just  the ones I see, but perhaps their actors.  This has been going on a long time though. My old landlord ate iguana shit off the floor and believed it was charleston chew.  I will eat off the floor to, because I am never sick, but I can tell the difference between stuff, and when I don't know, I don't touch.

If your with a boyfriend alone, then generally you don't rave for attention, its would be unusual for you to do so, logically speaking, so they probably wouldn't think your a lier.  Unless you had some kind of issue with landlords, like I do, (but I don't think its all of them, and I am suspicious) you might just do it get on their case.  Its all unlikely, and I never did anything for attention to them ever, not even in my worst state.
I found them stupid, its irritating, says the hormone overdose.

I should take away or reduce dhea,  it reminds of autistic hostility that I read about.

Start mentioning your severe allergies to mold to them and say something like "the last time they settled out of court but I signed an agreement not to talk about it"

I don't know that is true, my mom does have that.  Everything else is bust to, it blends in, so its not so bad, and cleaning up one thing makes it stand out.

When they built my mom's house the builder put a skylight in the ceiling directly over the toilet in the bathroom. I was maybe 16 at the time and I remember the guy showing my mom & dad the house and this man was so thrilled with himself over that skylight.

I'm like, over the toilet? WTF? This is so I can watch planes right?  :green:

It started leaking a year later, and after a couple months of trying to seal it my dad just got sick of it and ripped the whole thing out and used part of the hole to put in an attic fan.

This reminds me of one of our skylights we had in our sun room when we lived in Washington. It never really leaked but every time my parents cleaned the roof, my dad would bring a hose up there to wash it and all the excess water would get behind the skylight and it would start leaking into the sun room. It never did that in the rain but it did with the hose. We just put something under it when we clean it. We had a tree in our backyard so the tree branches would be hanging over it and drop pine needles on the roof.

At my old house the roof was leaking because it was raining hard. So my mom stuck a tampon in the hole while she was drunk to stop the dripping and it worked.

Well, that's how they are meant to work, aren't they?

Yey they fixed it but not the ceiling yet. They want to make sure first there isn't any leaks. The put a seal around the vent.

I will keep my eye on the vent and tell them soon there hasn't been any leaks if it never leaks.
