yes/no?

If you do, make sure you really know what you want and how you want it.
I had hair just below my waist once upon a time, but it was hot, a pain in the ass somedays, and I was bored, asked a couple of "girlfriends" what would look nice. "Get it cut short" they said.
Of course later when I was hunting them down to kill them they were nowhere to be found. ::)
I have a round face, I looked like a 25 year old kewpie doll by the time the butcher who did my hair got done with me. Never let someone cut your hair when you're not sure what you want and the first words out of their mouth start with "trust me".
-
I have had very straight waist length hair for most of my adult life, but I did have it cut short once.
I think it looked cute on me, but it took more time styling it every single morning with a blow dryer and a round brush to keep it looking cute.
It was too short to pull back into a ponytail, which annoyed me.
I have never had it cut that short again.
-
If you want constant maintenance and hassle, stick with long hair.
If you want simplicity and functionality, get it short.
-
Short can look good on women, but I think it would take a lot of effort to keep it looking good, while long hair tends to take care of itself.
-
I personally like long hair but it's yours so it's up to you. just make sure you want to it takes a long time to grow it back. Also post photos if you do.
-
Bale Hopp should keep to long. :orly:
-
Make up your own mind. :indeed:
-
Nope. Sounds like it would be a major error to me.
-
I think Icequeen hit the mark.
If you are thinking to enhance your natural gifts, then you should take into account the shape and features of your face, the relative size of your head compared to your shoulders, the length of your neck. It would probably be wise to go in for a professional consultation BEFORE you make a decision to drastically change your hairstyle.
If you are just wanting a change, I would still recommend some consideration before cutting off two year's worth of growth or so.
If you just want relief from the heat, then like Schleeed said, go with simplicity - just ditch it. (I know I'm not a very pretty girl, but I regretted going from below the shoulder to above the ear in one afternoon)
I agree with 'drew and parts, mostly, though ... it's your decision to make!
G.I. Jane, anyone?
:D
-
The thing I usually ask is, if your hair is long enough to be pulled back, are you pulling it back more than half the time? If the answer's yes that's a mark toward cutting it shorter.
I think no matter what, hair's high-maintenance- you have good and bad hair days no matter what lengthy it is. (Unless you're bald, in which case, good or bad scalp days?)
-
Me thinks Bale Hopp has low self-esteem. That's cow-herdly. :P

yes/no?
Hypothetically, if we were daiting, I would say its up to you. I , myself like both short and long hair, but I prefer the short one. My hair grows very very fast, if I wanted to change it.... Longer hair can get caught. I don't know, I am just trying to think of why I like short hair better.
Its getting hard to think of anything else
-
i've been growing my hair and i like it, i had short for a while and liked that too but it looked stupid as my hairs flat, i need to get a fucking perm again.

Wow, you'd let Fiona choose her own hairstyle if you were dating her? I never knew you were so liberal. Would you let her choose what to eat, too?

Milla Permilla. :P

you're pretty enough to get away with short hair. go for it.

I'm pretty sure that he'd insist she integrate his cock into her regular diet.

Really? I find it the other way around.

How short/long are you talking here?

This is good advice.
Fiona, you seem to have a round face, so the cut is really important. I have a round face too, and have only had my hair really short once. At the time, I liked it, but I look at photo's now and think how much I looked like a boy! Mind you, I was only 12 at the time!
If you still have fairly long hair, why don't you experiment with something mid way first? Like something shoulderlength and layered around your face? That's what I did in my mid twenties, and it's what I do now if I get the shits with having long hair.

Maybe it's because my hair's quite curly and fine. If it's long, I can tie it back and it's ok, if a little frizzy at times, but if it's shorter, it turns into some sort of deformed afro. If I had it very short, it would probably be ok too, but I'd have to keep cutting it regularly. I haven't so much as trimmed my hair for the past 10 years, or used a brush or comb or anything on it; I just run my fingers through it and apply some conditioner when I'm in the shower, and that sorts out any tangles and keeps the frizz down.
-

^Yeah my hair is like that. However if it's really really short it no longer curls.
You only live once and hair can always grow back plus if you don't like it, you can always develop a thing for hats ;)

Guys with long hair tend to have less maintenance issues than girls with it from what I've seen- I think it's because they don't style/blowdry, just keep it clean and pull it back.

That broccoli is really fucking happy.

depends on the hair, and the head it grows on, dorks.

I would say no for your face structure, but we are not dating so my opinion really means nothing. Even if we were it would still be up to you. I think the idea of trying out mid-length is good. That way you can either work it down to a short cut as you become comfortable and like it, or you can easily let it get back to a longer length if you don't.
You could try one of those kid's computer games that allow you to put in a picture of your face and then try out different styles.
-
Dude I tried having long hair, back when I had bangs. It looked G-A-Y. I looked like a girl when I was a kid to begin with, then I had long hair, and I discovered when it got to about shoulder length, it curled outwards on the bottom no matter what I did.
-
I had long blonde curly hair as a child. 8)
-
Long story short fiona, your hair looks fine the length it is. I like brunettes better though.
-
I would say no for your face structure, but we are not dating so my opinion really means nothing.
So now no-one is allowed to say whether someone suits something unless they're dating?

Yes, but once you ARE dating, your SO has total control over your fashion decisions.

The comment that one's SO has total control over your fashion decisions was funny, not serious, IMO.

So you place your tongue against your cheek?

So you place your tongue against your cheek?
The Oxford English Dictionary defines "tongue in cheek" as "ironic, slyly humorous; not meant to be taken seriously".
:P

Oh. Maybe I should try to put my tongue in my cheek more.

Hypothetically peter, I was just trying to give my opionion to finoe on what I think she should do with her hair.
I cut mine, and it looks much better. I always beg for mine to be done. Mom doesn't usually want to. Its symbolical in a way, that is one reason I like to have hair cuts.
Hair cut equates to fresh start, I never got one, but I got part of it when I figured out my problems. I do think I look better with less hair.
Now I am having a good time playing with my mind, the visual imagery, and hyperventalating. I am not dizzy at all, nor have I had any ginseng today. I love being able to pay attention again, and joke about the disability diagnosis I was given.

I'd call it too much QC.
Jury is still out on Dora's new hairdo. :-\

I think it'll look better as Jeph gets better at drawing it. It took me a couple of minutes to realize that she had blonde roots (as she is naturally blonde) rather than a psychotic dye job; somehow that made me accept it more.

I'm also planning to get my hair cut short, don't know when though. It's a pain in the arse to maintain for sure, gets greasy really quick so I have to shower at least twice a day. :(
