Now I wished I moved there instead. :grrr:

Got more snow than most winters.
Now you know why I am Snowkane Girl. Get it? Snowkane. It's not Spokane anymore because they have snow.
-
Looks like Sweden in mid-January or February, except for some of the latest years.
-
I'm okay living around snow sometimes. The snow part is okay, but when it thaws and then refreezes to slippery ice that sucks. If I go to work in a Nevada mine there won't be lots of snow but the area around Elko gets cold as shit, like single digit cold during the daytime. Something I need to factor in if I move there. The coldest place I have lived so far is Ogden Utah.
-
There has been temperatures below -50 oC in Sweden at a few occasions. Once in 1941 or 1942 it was -52 oC in Småland, which is pretty south. Here on the west coast there is usually just a few really cold days in January and February.

I posted this a long time ago. Northern Europe on the 19th of February 2003. Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Baltic states are totally covered with snow. Only the northern tip of Denmark is free from snow (most of Denmark is behind the clouds).

There has been three or four roof collapse in Spokane. We had a roof collapse here too at a Fred Meyer but this supermarket in Spokane, it was about the whole entire store while Fred Meyers only had a little bit of it. Water and snow made it collapse while in Spokane it was three feet of snow.
-
That would certainly suck to be in a store when the roof collapses. :thumbdn:
-
Nobody is probably going to care but what the heck.
Wal Mart closes due to roof concerns. At least they were smart enough to get the snow off the roof but they couldn't do it fast enough.
The town is located outside of Spokane.

LOL Spokaners are also sick and tired of the snow but sadly theirs is lasting longer. Ours is gone.

Sweden and Finland = earth's cock 'n balls. :hahaha:

ahahahahahahahahaha! :zoinks:

British Isles=cowardly teadrinker land with ridiculous gun laws and surveillance cameras in every corner. :thumbdn:
-
So does Swedick. :zoinks:
-
Our gun law sucks big time but you are allowed to have a pistol if you can get through all the shit to get the license and we don't even have nearly as many cameras in every corner as you have.
-
Our beer is better. Good beer makes up for most things.
-
I prefer Czech and German beer. I don't like ale and porter. :-\

Cameras in Ireland is nonexistent. The UK is different.
-
But the IRA put down their guns. That wasn't brave. :(

.. and don't forget some revolutionary music over the years.
You live in the shadows of many greats, so your perspective of "The Beatles," "The Rolling Stones," "Richard Thompson," and a list of dozens of otheres for instance, is quite skewed .
Thje rest of the world bought their music with their dollars, yen, marks, kopecks, etc, in huge numbers. It is the best way of showing acceptance - opening the purse.
-
Excellent point. :headbang2:

Except for Alan Moore. Here's hoping for a real-life V for Vendetta:
"Remember, remember the 5th of November
the Gunpowder treason and plot
I can see no reason why
it should ever be forgot"
-
The Gunpowder plot was brave. Pity it didn't work. :agreed:

I prefer Czech and German beer. I don't like ale and porter. :-\
That's 'cause you stick to the COWARDLY stuff.
-
Carling beats all others.

:'( now it's all green and wet. like ireland.
i wish it was gorgeous like that still. i remember snow always made me happy.
-
Carling beats all others.
sure, if you like soggy cornflakes/cardboard.
For lagers, the Czechs and Germans rule supreme. Most other stuff (except German weizens, Belgian specialities, which generally rock, and some of the non-macro US brews like Brooklyn Lager, Sierra Nevada and Anchor Steam) Britannia still rules.
-
soggy!?!?!?!? blasphemy! beer is supposed to be wet you weirdo! and what the heck are you talking about cornflakes for? you have weird taste buds.
-
not as weird as yours. The only thing I can say in Carling's defence is that it isn't Skol.
