Anyone here plays online with their ps3 often? I'm in need of some gaming buddies for Metal Gear Online or Unreal Tournament 3.
-
I recently got a PS3 at home - though it hasn't been set up yet. Remind me over Xmas, should be up for giving you a few games of something we both end up getting.

Cool. What games are you getting?

GTA is the only one I suspect - though my Brother has Granny T 5 prologue and fifa street. If that helps let me know.

I dunno about GTA4, but Metal Gear Solid 4 is fun.

PC online gamer at the moment sadly. Might get a PS3 later on.
-
They should make PS3/Xbox/PC cross-playable online.
Herd all you video-gaming losers together.

The video gaming industry would suffer as a business then.
-
Why?
-
Why?
Because everyone would only need to buy one console, or none at all.
-
But most people don't buy the same game for two different consoles just so that they can play with a different set of people online. If Pea's talking about integrated multiplayer for a game that's already out for several different consoles, that wouldn't solve the problem of games that only come out for one console.

If you set up an integrated mulitplayer platform, then it makes it cheaper for developers to put the games across several platforms - thus reducing the number of games that are restricted to one console.
-
True. But it's certainly not true that "everyone would only need to buy one console, or none at all".
-
Why?
Because it would only stagnate the competition.
-
As in monopoly?
It might.
-
More importantly, who plays Call of Duty 4 here? I'm in need of some gaming buddies, yo.
-
I'm "Beatle_Soul" you can add me if you like
I have Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Warhawk, Resistance 1, Team Fortress 2 and LittleBigPlanet and GTA 4.
I also have Fallout 3 best game ever. Gory and glorious theirs a targeting system that lets you select what limb you want to blow off.
I like blowing heads off and look at brains and eyeballs splatter the filthy post-apocalyptic train station walls. It's just awful >:D
But it's not online.......same with my other games like Half-life 2, Ratatouille, Oblivion and shivering isles expansion.

I didn't know that Metal Gear was online....and I didn't even know that Unreal Tournament existed on PS3.

Yeah, you can go online with Metal Gear Solid 4, but the downside is that this game is region locked.

Are they paying £180 a week for you to live at home then...
-
€180 a week regardless of where I live.

€180 a week regardless of where I live.
Which begs the question - how do you spend all that disposable income? Massive holidays abroad or something?
-
I put most away to the credit union to save up for stuff, the rest is for college/other things.
-
I have a PS3 and I don't play it much online. I just have Metal Gear Solid 4 right now. I rented Little Big Planet. I still play on Xboxlive more on my 360.
