I got my first Stitches

I tripped down the embankment in my yard and got slashed an inch deep into my right leg. I spent an hour in emergency mainly just waiting.My mom totally freaked out. I couldn't believe how the meat looked it looked all pink once the bleeding stops.
I think the scar looks quite cool and it didn't hurt at all. Though it was brutal when they dumped the antiseptic in the open wound, they had to hold me down.
I was fine with needles I always have been but having chemicals in my wound is something I freak out over.

Here's what they look like. I counted 9 stitches.

My brother had to get stitches on his forehead when he was almost two because he hit his head on the fireplace and my Dad had to take him to the hospital.

I'm glad that the stitches didn't hurt at all.  That's quite a gash.

Nah but it makes the other girls jealous cause my hair is so fair that I don't have to shave my legs.

Cut my leg open on a barbed wire fence about 4 years back, should have had stitches, but being flat broke at the time and totally chicken shit, I taped it together.

Luckily healed quite nicely, can barely see a scar.

Looking back, probably should have had stitches a quite a few times in my life. Hate needles.

I sliced two fingers a year ago, and went to the pharmacy for a suitures kit, bu they wouldn't sell them.. So I walk to a local fire station to inquire about getting some suitures from them.  They said, no, you gotta see a doctor.  So I went to the urgent care center and waited forever.  Finally, some doctor from India sewed me up.   Two days later two of the eight stiches came out.   So I went on-line and bought some of my own stiches kits, just in case.

I don't know if they even had them, but wouldn't sell them to my either way.

Got stitches all the time as a kid. Several interestng scars resulted in some unlikely places (no, not around my privates, thank you very much). Glad when they finally started making the kind that just gradually dissolve and don't have to be pulled out. First time I had 'em, I remember the doc telling me not to be such a baby and me thinking "But I'm only 8..."

I finally got them out and filmed it too. Now it hurts more though 
I'm impatient and expected it to heal faster.
I found out the healing process is only half way over when you get them out.
I'm glad though cause the stitches bothered me. Just knowing their was a foreign object in my skin.
They even tried to migrate out. My skin does that. It pushed out an eyebrow barbell.
