My husband is A positive and so is our daughter, so neither one of them could give me a transfusion, but I could give them one.

I know. I have a feeling though that it is a moot point. She is not going to bleed to death. In fact I don't think blood runs through her veins. I think she is a succubus and I was just her hapless victim. I may be wrong but it feels right and seems to fit.
