Do you people mind if Intensity is linked to my site? I'm putting up banners of aspergers sites i'm linking to. You don't have to link me back.

That's fine, but if you want your site linked, I think we can do that too.

Site isn't up yet. It's half done on a USB stick.

I've got to get this JS thing sorted then I'll upload. I made a lot of progress yesterday. Some of you may laugh, but my site is targeted at people with aspergers family members or friends that they don't know how to help.

It's also targeted at aspies, parents, teachers, or anyone that's remotely interested in my life in limbo or peering into the mind of an aspie.

It is really cool to do a site. Mine is just a blog, all about me me me. :P

I believe that a lot of people can benefit from a site like the one you are making.

Yeah, it's my own experiences that drove me to do it, growing up with parents that didn't understand or cope with my differences until I was diagnosed. Also people like my sister. Apparently she has to have councilling because I'm not a normal sister and she wishes I were.

WTF?  :o

I find that completely bizarre but also familiar, in a different sense. My sisters are a lot older than me but they are still very uncomfortable around me and will not talk to me about me, if you know what I mean.

Honestly, I feel for you. A shame your sister doesn't know what a great person you are, instead focusing on how you are not "normal". That just sucks.  :(

I feel sorry for your sister, having so many stones in her mind to try to live with, but I mostly feel bad that you have had to deal with HER and all her fucking expectations of YOU, your whole life.

I think you have a great idea for a website. It's been done before, but it always turns into a cry, whine, piss and moan convention of concerned, although incompetent, self centered people with their own problems to work out (possibly, like your sister?)

I hope you have better luck, with yours!

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Of course not. It's great that you link to us. What's the URL to your site?

I'm not going to trash my sister on my site, but I probably will make a blog about her. She is very kind in her own way, never forgets my birthday and sends me nice things. But it has been hard living with her expectations.

When I was little I would have friends over, and she would take them off me and gang up on me, and she would gang up on my in front of our cousins.. or just ignore me comletely because, I'm guessing she was ashamed.

She sighs when I don't talk enough, gets the pip when I don't enjoy going out in crowds, then goes home crying because "I didn't enjoy myself". She is two and a half years older than me.

My siste is called aspergersgirl.com

Nothing is up yet, I'll uplod when it's completed. :)

So I don't have to quote it using a 24-point font just yet? :P

I think that is most disabling part of AS (other than sensory issues), society's refusal to accept us as we are. People who are different make the world and life more interesting, imagine what life would be like if everyone were the same.

No offense, but your sister sounds lame, counseling because she can't accept you for you? Sounds to me like your sister needs to get over herself.
