I take public transport to college twice a week. I take the bus, the train and then I walk for 20 minutes to college itself.

That bus looks ok. It's the people you have to worry about. There are definitely some interesting characters out there.

But they are girly.

I think any tiny cars are considered girly, I never understood why guys like them. Someone once told me it's because of the movie the Italian job.  :dunno:

Not sure about movie influence, but we have three very large cars, by most Euro standards.

I have tried to drive a Honda Accord, rental.  It felt ridiculously small. I traded it the next day for a Suburban, only other type of regular sized car they had.

I will not drive some kind of insultingly small thing I have to fold myself into a tortellini just to get into the damn thing.

I do not have to and I will not.

My dream car would never need payments, repairs, gas, a wash, etc.

I guess I need to ride public transport.

If you ride that long enough you wil find out there are repairs that need to happen at inconvenient times too.

But those buses and trains do seem to miraculously clean themselves.

Unless the bus is resembling a tin of sardines or contains deodorant spraying teens, I find busdrives rather relaxing. Having a seat helps, but standing is OK too.

Me too, when there's only a few people (or less) on it, away from me.

My sister years ago had a really nice Mini Cooper. She bought it brand new (which I think was nuts) and you could change the lighting inside to various different colours. It was gorgeous and so girly. Then she sold it so her partner could buy another car that he could fit his golf clubs inside, or something silly like that.

Maybe it was just too girly for him. I think minis look girly, but I know a lot of guys like them and I think I notice more men driving them than women. I don't like grocery shopping so I only do it twice a month. With the back seats flipped down, I can cram two weeks worth of groceries for four people into the back of the mini, and that's including my toiletpaper and water hoarding problem.  :dunno:

I don't know. I mean, her boyfriend is quite masculine, but not a tough guy type, though he looks reasonably strong. I notice more guys in general drive them too, and I'm not sure why either. Maybe because they're pretty solid? BMWs are. I like them.

I love Minis. Once I had a ride in one when someone from uni offered me a ride to my place from the train station. Enjoyed every minute. :)

The new type of Mini isn't cheap though.

My sister got hers about 10 years ago. I prefer the styles closer to the original. :) I would have liked one with a union jack on the top. I think the union jack is an awesome flag.

But they are girly.

So they are great. :M

I've decided not to drive it in winter conditions.
